My 1,5y old neovo monitor has started showing horizontal lines (about 1cm thick) all over the screen. When I don't have signal and the screen usually is blue now there are red and blue lines. When I use VGA or composite from any source I get some sort of inverted lines with the same with.

You may need to set your laptop to send the video signal to a secondary screen, this will be done by right clicking on the desktop and clicking on graphics properties. Some laptops have a presentation mode on them it may well be there also.

This problem is normally the Vertical filter capacitors. You need to have them changed before it burns out the Vertical Chip.

SOURCE: Screen is black except briefly blue upon power on or putting source on "VGA"
Your backlights power inverter board is what causes this prob. It is a Darfon V144-001.
SOURCE: small blue screen that says '' No composite input signal''
go to menu on the monitor and choose setting then reset the default
SOURCE: monitor shows ''NO SIGNAL''
This is normal. The monitor is telling you it is not getting a signal from the computer, which is true because you've turned off the computer. The monitor power is still on, however. The monitor power is not controlled by the computer power switch. Just turn it off with its power switch after you shut off the computer.
