Problem with horizontal lines

My 1,5y old neovo monitor has started showing horizontal lines (about 1cm thick) all over the screen. When I don't have signal and the screen usually is blue now there are red and blue lines. When I use VGA or composite from any source I get some sort of inverted lines with the same with.

The video controller circuit may be going sourer. The replacement could be more expensive than a replacement monitor.

You may need to set your laptop to send the video signal to a secondary screen, this will be done by right clicking on the desktop and clicking on graphics properties. Some laptops have a presentation mode on them it may well be there also.

SOURCE: White lines & inverted picture at top of CRT TV image

This problem is normally the Vertical filter capacitors. You need to have them changed before it burns out the Vertical Chip.

SOURCE: monitor shows ''NO SIGNAL''

This is normal. The monitor is telling you it is not getting a signal from the computer, which is true because you've turned off the computer. The monitor power is still on, however. The monitor power is not controlled by the computer power switch. Just turn it off with its power switch after you shut off the computer.

My Neovo F-417 started to get lines across the screen then the images fragmented - 10 minutes & it lost power totally.

Chris,

Try unplugging the monitor from any video cables. Only have the power cable plugged into and then turn it on. You should see a message that indicates there is no video source. If you do not see this message then the monitor has failed, and you'll need to call it in on it's warranty. (If it is still under warranty.) To call neovo - the number is 866-333-3686.

If it is out of warranty - it's going to be cheaper to buy a new monitor.

If the video message that there is no signal does display, then try plugging the monitor in with a different video cable and see if that has any results. If not, try plugging the monitor into a different computer. If it works on a different computer, you may have a bad video port on the computer you are plugging the monitor into.

Hope that information helps!

LCD monitor have Vertical lines and black colour become greenish

normally the 19" resolution can support up to 1280*1024, but if it comes with vertical lines in full screen, it might indicate the panel is no longer to work and probably it's time to replace new one.

There should be buttons on the monitor that will help you with menu issues if you don;t have a remote for it.
You also might want to Google the correct monitor,, as the one that you posted does not exist.

Horizontal distortion, on the bottom half of the screen

By your description, you have a defective LCD. LCDs should have no linear distinctions and at best yours is having a problem with the inverter/cabling.

Reseat the cables, if using an adapter, see if you can try without one. Try a different video source. If issue remains, then have LCD serviced under warranty.

Horizontal lines on my monitor

I have a similar problem with a 2 year old Samsung monitor. I have tried to make a screen dump of it, but the horizontal lines do not show up then. This I have read indicates that the problem is in the monitor and not the video card.
