Delay Start doesn't function

Each time you push delay, it should add 2 more hours. If not, it will only delay for 2hours.

Many owners of the Bosch dishwashers perceive h01 (h: 01) or h02 (h: 02) and other signs as an error. But in fact, this is not an error, and you accidentally got into the start-up timer menu (delayed start of washing dishes). In this case, h01 means that washing dishes will start exactly in 1 hour; if the display shows h02, then washing process will begin exactly in 2 hours. As a rule, in most models of dishwashers from Bosch, a delayed start can be set in the range from 1 to 24 hours.



Timer programming You can delay the start of the program in 1-hour steps up to 24 hours.

1. Close the door.
2. Switch on ON/OFF switch [1].
3. Press button [4] + until the digital display [9] jumps to h:01
4. Press [4] + or - button until the displayed time corresponds with your requirements.
5. Press START button [6], timer programming is activated.
6. To delete timer programming, press the [4] + or - button until h:00 is indicated on the digital display [9].

You can change your program selection at any time until the program starts.

You have activated the delayed start function. Please read following instruction from user manual.

8. Delayed Start button

Allows the start of the programme to be delayed by a minimum of 1 hour, up to 9 hours. How to set the delayed start When the button is pressed, the number appears in the display (4). Press the button again to select the number of hours by which you wish to delay the programme start, up to a maximum of 9. E.g.: if you have selected number , the wash programme will start in 2 hours' time. To cancel the delayed start set, press the button until the number appears. Close the dishwasher door to start the countdown: a long audible signal (about one second) informs you that the function is active. If you open the door again you will see, in the display (4), how long there is to go (in hours) before the programme starts. A flashing dot in the digital display means that the delayed start function has been activated. Opening the door has no effect on a countdown which has already been started. If, during the countdown, you wish to see the programme number selected in the display, press the Programme Selector button (5). If, after having started the countdown by closing the dishwasher door, you wish to cancel the delayed start, press button (9) (Cancel) for about 2 seconds until the short «instruction accepted «signal is heard».

To Self-Clean: 1. Close the oven door. 2. Move the door lock lever to the right to the locked position. 3. Press CLEAN. 4. Press the "up" or "down" arrow pad. CL-M (Clean - Medium soil, 3 hours) appears in the display. If the door is not closed, beeps will sound and "door" will appear in the display until the door is closed and the Clean pad is pressed again. If the door is not closed within 45 seconds, the self-cleaning operation will be canceled and the display will return to the time of day. If more than 5 seconds elapse between pressing the Clean pad and the "up" or "down" arrow pad, the program will automatically return to the previous display
5. To choose a clean setting other then Medium, press the "up" or "down" arrow pads to scroll through the self-cleaning settings. CL-H (Clean - Heavy soil, 4 hours) CL-M (Clean - Medium soil, 3 hours) CL-L (Clean - Light soil, 2 hours) Choosing a cleaning level automatically programs the selfcleaning time. 6. After 4 seconds, the oven will start cleaning. "LOCK" and "CLEAN" will appear in the display. The cleaning time will count down in the display. To Delay Start Self-Clean: Before delay starting Self-Clean, make sure the door is closed completely or it will not lock and the cycle will not begin. 1. Press DELAY. "DELAY" will flash and "00:00" will appear in the display. 2. Press the "up" or "down" arrow pads to enter the amount of time you want to delay the cycle. Delay time can be set from 10 minutes (00:10) to 11 hours and 59 minutes (11:59). 3. While "DELAY" is flashing, press the CLEAN pad. "CLEAN" will flash in the display. 4. Press the "up" or "down" arrow pad. CL-M (Clean - Medium soil, 3 hours) appears in the display. 5. To choose a clean setting other then Medium, press the "up" or "down" arrow pads to scroll through the self-cleaning settings. Press the key to set the delay start time.This dishwasher can be delayed to start for 1 to 24 hours,and the display window beside the delay key can indicate the remaining time. If you want to cancel the delay start, just press the delay key to make the remaining time become 0.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. The 4H is indicating your dishwasher is in the delayed wash start mode. Here is some information from Sears about what to do:

• The number letter combination indicates that the dishwasher is in a "Delay Start" mode, as well as how many hours were set for the delay start.
• The dishwasher will not start the wash until it reaches the delayed hour that it was set for. Example: 1H = 1 hour delay start, 2H = 2 hour delay start, etc.
  • To start the dishwasher immediately and not wait for the Delay Start time, cancel the "Delay Start" option, by pressing the Cancel button. Then program the cycle and options and press Start.
  • To start the dishwasher after the Delay time, select the cycle and options desired. Select the "Delay Start" option and on some dishwashers it requires, pressing the Start button.
  • Some dishwashers will display a countdown of the delay time on the display.

Note: Refer to the Owner's Manual or Use & Care Guide for specific instructions on using the "Delay Start" feature.

Setting Ring Delay:
The Ring Delay setting determines the number of times the fax machine rings before it answers. If you have extension phones on the same line as the fax machine, keep the Ring Delay at a default setting of 4:
1 Press Function/Set, 2, 1.
2 Press < or > to select how many times the line rings before the fax machine answers (00 – 04) and press Function/Set. If you select 00, the line doesn’t ring at all.
3 Press Stop to exit.
