Directly below the drum section is a assemble called the transfer/separation assy. the purpose of this unit is twofold. (It houses to very thin gold plated wires) One wire is what helps the transfer of the image from the drum to the paper. Since the paper goes between this wire and the drum, the second wire prevent the paper from sticking to the drum during the transfer process. The code you have been getting means either wire might be broke, or has to cleaned (because of all the toner on it from the drum assy. which need to removed and cleaned. Or The end blocks that hold the wires are getting old and allowing the High Voltage that is applied to the wire during the copy/print process are breaking down allowing the high voltage to ground. Open close the front door to clear. If it comes back have qualified tech look at it. Try web site below for place to start for parts

SOURCE: changing the drum

I fixed the problem (following the user's guide).
1. After reinstalling the new drum unit into the printer, keep the front cover open.
2. Press "Clear/Back" on the machine
3. Press "1" and when the LCD shows "Accepted", close the front cover.

SOURCE: Drum life low replace soon Error Message

I already answered this at some other place here - but just to make sure the word gets out there:

There is a little special (white) gear on the outer left side of the drumkit - a little bit below where the toner sits. That gear joins with toner assembly - and you can rotate it counterclockwise all the way back. This should reset the drum counter - worked for me!

I hope it also does the trick for you ;-)

SOURCE: The copies are coming out smeared and with lines. I wiped the (drum?) off?

What did you wipe the drum off with???? That is why you have this problem. You may want to try recleaning the opc with a dry soft rag, also you may want to clean the drum blade... If that dose not solve your problem, you may need to replace the opc & blade... Have you tried to stop the copy before it gets to the fuser unit.. If so, are the marks there???

SOURCE: I have a Minolta cs pro 2080 copier, shading on copies

3 possible causes:
1) The optics are dirty thus making your copy darker. The test for this is to manually lighten the copy using the exposure control on the panel of your copier. Lighten the copy several positions and see if the copy gets better. If it does then the optics need to be cleaned.
2) The copier is overtoned. This means that the toner to developer concentration is to high. This will require a trained technician to lower the toner ratio and then recalibrate the toner/developer ration using the F8 mode.
3) If the shading gets much worse as you run say 10 copies in a row then the drum cleaning blade would be the cause. So run 10 copies of something and compare the first copy out with the tenth copy out. Do you see a dramatic difference in the amount of background or "shading"?
Good Luck and thank you for using Fixya.

Error code c0200 minolta EP 4000

Sir, right below the drum area when you open the machine front door is a assy. with two very fragile gold plated wires that transfer the image from the drum to the paper. The paper moves over this wires during the copy process. They mite have broken giving you a C0200. Or the same type of wires are above the drum on the drum unit which must be removed to see them mite be bad. did you open close the front door to see if the machine will reset?

Error code c0210 on minolta 6001

The Transfer separation assy. Located below the drum has two fine wires in side of it that apply several thousand volts to the paper as it goes above the wires and below the drum to transfer image on to paper the second wire prevents the paper from sticking to the drum. Remove assy. see if they are broken or then the end blocks (white) need to be replaced because after a while the plastic breaks down an the High Voltage go thru the plastic to ground. Clean the wire very, very carefully with pencil earser if never been replace go to the web site below for corona wires don't lose those small springs at one end.

ERROR CODE C0210

Below the drum is assy. that houses two very fine gold plated wires that do two things since the paper goes between these two wires and the drum the first is transfers the image on to the paper from the drum, the second one prevent the paper from sticking to the drum. One is or both are bad, BROKEN? Remove the assy. and replace both. They are very fine and fragile do not lose the springs. If that does not work you might have bad ends on the assy. after a while the plastic breakdowns and allow the voltage to go to ground. The wire carry around 2000 volts during the copy process. None during power off :) Open close the front door resets the code. if need new wire chk this web site

We have a Minolta Di552 copier with an error message C-0F24 on the display panel. What is the problem?

Has the developer been replaced? If not reset counter for developer without replacing the developer is not good. Because the copier works based on the counters. If you reset the counters without replacing the require items then the copier will adjust certain voltages to certain items such as the drum and developer system as those they are new because you reset the counters when in fact he developer is old and so might be the drum which can cause codes and image problems. If the developer was replaced where the counters cleared !ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and was the required F8 checked run? after installing. Also was the drum removed and the sensors cleaned by brush NO Vacuum cleaner. Static Electricty can destroy the the sensors.
