I have a hamptom bay dehumidifer model # HB40-D i am looking for the tray that you attach a hose to drain

it should be in the same area where you pull the pan out to dump. There should be a hose hook up inside the space where the drain box is.

There are power surges every few minutes that last for a few seconds. Other lights on the same circuit dim. This is really a Hampton Bay HB40 which I understand is the same unit. What can I do?

it sounds like the compressor is trying to start. if it hums and clicks then either the compressor relay or the compressor is bad. find the compressor and tap on the relay cover with the end of a screw driver. if it starts then change the relay

I'm getting oil in the water resevoir in my HB40 Dehumidifier. I assume the compressor or the motor is leaking. Is the unit toast? or can it be repaired?

If the oil is leaking then the freon is also. The repair is more expensive than the unit . The sealed system used to carry a 5 year warranty so if it is fairly new I would contact the manufacturer.

My Hampton Bay HB30 dehumidifier is still running, but no longer produces any water. The fan is running, you can feel the air moving. In addition, it will not turn off with the switch.

The filter and coils might be clogged with dirt. Turn of the unit and unplug it. Look at the filter and coils to see if they need cleaning.

I have a Hampton Bay HB50 with the same problem. I replaced the defrost control switch that connects to the compressor inlet line. The part # is 112900550001 and it was about $50.00
