You sayin you download the new drivers for the wireless card? Check your device manager tab in control panel and see if the networks adapter is red or yellow. It should say what is wrong with it

SOURCE: locked out by password on dell inspirion 1525 how do i re install vista

If you have the vista disk, then just put it into the drive, and reboot. You may need to change bios boot order, which can be done by pressing f8 as the computer starts up, and selecting the dvd drive. If this does not work, then please refer to your user manual for the correct key to press. If you can boot, then the installation is self explanatory. Give it you country and keyboard layout, and then when the screen shows "install vista" button, undeneath it is a repair vista button link. Click this, and select your existing installation. From there it may ask you about "system restore" press cancel, and then hopefully, it will restore.  Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Help! My Dell Inspirion 1525 laptop crashed, black

0F00 errors are hard disk drive errors. You will need to replace the hard drive. If under warranty, call Dell Tech support. If not, then you can buy a new drive from places like Newegg.com

There is a strong chance that the wireless card inside is bad. I work at a computer repair shop and work mainly with laptops. It isn't uncommon for wireless cards to go bad, before their "time". Usually Dell's have access panels on the bottom of the laptop where you can see the wireless card. It will have 2, sometimes 3 small wires plugged into it. Usually dell' use Dell brand cards, which are really repackaged Broadcom wireless cards in most cases. In your situation, write down what the model number is, go to another computer, look up that model on ebay, buy one, replace it.

You probably will need to replace the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) in your laptop. Go to Google and search for "Dell Inspirion 6000 CD/DVD drive" to find a replacement.
To be sure it's the CD/DVD drive that's defective and not your operating system software, you could also try to boot from a boot-able DVD disk.

  1. Go to Control panel
  2. Select Windows Security Center
  3. Select Windows Firewall
  4. Click on Change settings
  5. Here you might see User Account Control will ask for your permission to continue, simply grant it.
  6. Click on the Exception tab at the middle
  7. Scroll down to Wireless Portable Devices and check the box next
  8. Click Apply, then hit OK
  9. After close the program now you can try to connect again and watch the result.

With assumption you're already make the wireless enable in BIOS setting. In the device manager you should see what the type of wireless wlan card you used and make sure it's already turned on via your switch on your laptop. If it was, then you need to find out the right wireless device driver for Dell Inspiron 1525. Here's the following:

  1. Visit Dell Support site and open the Network tab in the table.
  2. Find your wireless device and download the driver for it.
  3. Aim to a folder on your computer or any external drive if you have it.
At the Inspiron 1525 laptop

  1. go to start
  2. Right click at My Computer
  3. Click Properties
  4. Click Device Manager and Network Adapter .Here you should see a WLAN Mini-Card or might you only see "Unknown Device".
  5. Right Click on it and go to properties to select the Update Driver. Now you should browse the folder to select the driver you're already download at the first step.
NOTE:

Just follow the instruction appears completely. After installation the wireless wlan driver at Dell Inspiron 1525 finish, then reboot the machine and know your wireless connection should be works properly.

I reinstalled my hardrive in my dell inspirion 1525 laptop, i put in the operating disc, it loaded windows xp but i dont have any sound nor do i hve internet and i have a wireless network already set up in...

you will have to hook up an ethernet cable between your laptop and router to download those files, and you should look and check to make sure all other files and software is installed. If anything else is missing, download them at the same time as well. then disconnect from the ethernet cable, install all drivers and software, reboot, and then see if it is working. Also, make sure the switch is turned on for your wi-fi on the laptop. Almost all dell inspiron laptops have a switch or button to turn the wi-fi- on.

My Dell Inspiron 1525 works well finding unsecured

I don't know if you are using the standard Windows wireless LAN management, or the special DELL application for that. Anyway, try looking for a profile of that particular network in WLAN management (either Manage Wireless Networks in Windows networking, or something to that effect in in that DELL WLAN profile management) and deleting that profile, making it possible to search for it again "for the first time", so to say.

Wireless Internet wont work unless I plug in a wire

QuickSet utility Wireless options can cause these issues.

There is a setting to always deactivate on battery. Make sure this is not set up. The correct setting would be Always active on battery or Always On, or no power saving options for Wi-Fi. Depending on the version of QuickSet which you have.
