SOURCE: I have a Husky model Y6010 air compressor.

First remove the valve using probably about a 1/2" wrench but make sure there is no pressure in the tank before you do so. check the cone and seal by loosening the valve by hand and check for debris. If there is no debris then the problem is either the pressure relief valve or weak pressure regulator but may also be a bad piston seal if it is a direct drive unit.

Probably the check valve has failed. It apparently is where the pipe goes into the tank from the compressor.

SOURCE: I have a model FP209501 Air Compressor 2 Gallon,

The spray gun consumes more air volume than the compressor can deliver. You can pause painting periodically to allow the compressor to 'catch-up' or buy a larger delivered-volume compressor. The compressor that you have was intended to supply air for pneumatic nailers and staplers in an intermittent fashion. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: craftsman 3 gal air compressor - no air presssure

Check the head gasket. Mine just did the same thing. Mine was blown between the two chambers on top. It's very thin right there. I went to the auto parts store and bought some gasket and made my own for about $6. It's up a working great...finally. BTW the gasket kit is on back order right now at Sear's parts website. It appears we aren't the only ones with the problem!

Won't build top pressure an shut off

It sounds like your pressure switch is not set correctly. It is possible it is set too high for the compressor you have.

Compressor reaches 125 psi but does not shut down

Depending on how old your compressor is, usually inside the pressure regulator cover are instructions on how to adjust the turn-on and shut-off pressures. If not, it usually invloves turning a nut or screw to lessen the pressure on the spring that keeps the contacts closed. Try adjusting the pressure down. If it won't come down to a safe level you will be better off replacing the pressure switch. The number you give above is the Campbell-Hausfeld (they are Husky) part number for the pump and motor assembly so I don't know which CH pressure regulator you need. They are easy to find and easy to replace.

I have a Husky air compressor model WL651004AJ. The problem is that it builds pressure initially up to 75 psi then shuts off. I have to turn off the power switch, wait about 5 minutes, turn the switch back...

It sounds like you need to replace the run capacitor , if yours is weak or defective the motor will overheat. Check "Drillspot" for a replacement. Another major cause of overheating is due to a dirty air filter , you should check it first.

My compressor will not go over 20 psi i have a craftsman 921 4 gal 125 psi compressor and it will not build past 20 psi i do not know how to get to the pistons and stuff what do i do?

The problem with compressors not building pressure is usually a bad pressure switch or bad regulator. Does the motor shut off at 20psi or does it continue running and not build pressure? If the motor continues to run with no increase in pressure, the you should go over the machine looking for air leaks from your regulator back all the way to the motor. Any air leak while the compressor is running can cause the pressure to "peak" way before the intended shutoff that it is regulated to.

Compressor will only build pressure to 75 psi and stop and compressor keeps running what could be wrong

If you can hear air bleeding off through the air filter when you turn it off then the check valve has failed on the compressor discharge to tank line and cannot overcome the tank pressure. If there is no air coming out through the air filter than the intake and dischare valves have become weak or are broken/not seating. Post your findings, I wil see if i can help I worked on compressors for 5+ years

Pressure in the tank only builds to 30 psi

Bad check valve. But I would check the regulator, by turning it down to about 10 PSI and running it and see if it builds again, if that works then it is the check valve. But from what you are saying I would replace the check valve anyways.

Compressor not building pressure and continues to run

Unplug it and listen for air leak. What pressure does the manual tell you it should run to? The safety release could be bleeding air, listen for that, with it off. Make sure it is designed for more than 60 PSI by manufacture.
