American standard whirlpool tub #2425

How do I get the shims to level tub so I can do my 1x3 stringers, front side of tub has a skirt? How do I get the back side to mark the studs and the left and right side, studs up already for pony wall and closet wall?

There is nothing regarding the question on the link provided

There is no way possible to "mark" the walls for the 1x3 stringers... with the unit in place as instructed.

Also, how much mortar mix should be used as the base?? If too much is used, it probably won't flatten out enough for the tub to touch the stringers

Is it possible to buy somewhere the Optional "U-Frame Skirt" for a "Jacuzzi CIVA Whirlpool" bath tub? Anyone know where or other suggestions on covering the front?

Home Deport and Lowes each used to carry a generic front skirt for "jacuzzi" type tubs. You may find something at one of their stores that will work.
The other solution would be to contact a Jacuzzi Showroom for authorized replacement parts.

I have a jetted tub and it won't turn off. I have a single button in the back right corner and i don't know what to do!

Right now you are having to turn it on/off by using the circuit breaker or just unplugging the pump right?
Is this a button you depress or an electric button like you would find on a microwave?
If it is a button you depress to turn it on/off then the problem is most likely the air switch located in the motor under the skirt of the tub.
If it is an electric button then it may be the control box under the tub that needs to be replaced.

You will need to check with the Mfg of your bathtub for new skirt.
You may find a generic front skirt at your local hardware store i.e. Lowes or Home Depot.

HOW TO FIT A FRONT PANEL TO JACUZZI BATH

If you are talking about the skirt of the tub, most are held in place with a glue backed velcro type fastener. It is a thin panel of plastic that goes on the front outside of the tub, this is known as the skirt of the tub.

Install whilpool tub steps

Generally I will make the entire front skirt of the tub removable. You need to make sure your access is located so that you can remove the pump if necessary.
Access to the plumbing is advisable also but usually not required by code as it can be serviced from the top side. I am a licensed bath contractor and available to help with any problem you may encounter through premium service or live chat. I can save you many hours of frustration and 100's of dollars on this project.
