Do you need to pay to go on x box live

Do you have Xbox Live Gold for it?

Who exactly is "They"? By my understanding, the X-box 360 Arcade is NOT backwards compatible, meaning it cannot play original x-box games. The only one i know of that can is the X-Box 360 elite.

Now then, if you go online to the X-box live Marketplace, they have quite a few original x-box games available for download, but you have to pay for them :( These downloaded versions WILL work with the 360 Arcade

for the colour check all your turn off everything make sure all your connections are in properly, then turn everything on.

with the x box live, first connect your internet to it while it is off then turn it on. then on your x box dashboard selct x box live (join)

1.make sure if you want to sighn into xbox live you make an xbox live connection test and a media test.
2.make sure if you have a gamertag, it says XBOX Live under your profile name and select recover gamertag.
3. if 1 and 2 do not work try changing console settings and/or change gamertag.

Yes you can play 4 players on it. There might be a problem with your router.

Make an account offline that should work.

Path #1:

if you want to play online, with other people i am assuming? then what you would want is xbox live. you do have to setup a stable internet connection in order to connect to the internet*. and also you do have to pay a membership fee in order to stay in xbox live.

* and if you want to connect xbox live, you need a cable or dsl connection, either you need an ethernet cable or a pre-tuned wireless usb that is made only for the xbox 360. and also, you would need a cable/dsl company that is accepted by xbox live. and then go to the xbox 360 dashboard, then, click "join membership",

Path #2:

setup an ethernet connection either directly, or with a router/hub, then go the system settings, and click, "computers" and then click connect. but this path way is only to create a connection to the computer.
