The F 01 error code indicates a problem with the electronic control board of the dryer. Sometimes this is caused by an electrical problem that surged through your household wiring. Unplug the dryer (or trip the appropriate circuit breaker). Wait a few minutes. Restore the power to the dryer. If the error recurs, check the wiring between the motor and the control board. Replace damaged wiring. Also check the thermal fuse. Replace the fuse if it is faulty. The fuse is above the blower wheel housing. Most often the control board has to be replaced.

More than likely a bad timer assembly. They are usually easy enough to replace if you have basic mechanical skills. The part can be ordered from repairclinic.com.
Sounds like you have a dead zone in your motor...could be a replacement motor is called for. or continue to spin the drum by hand till the motor goes kaput...its cheaper
