this is a very easy job take the plastic bezal off the front of your screen and undo the connections remove all the little screws screens are for the most part all the same no matter the make of laptop find a dead laptop with same size screen as yours and change them is the cheapest way I know

Sorry mate, first of all for Laptops it is not easy for anyone to fix the cracked screen. they need special tools to fix them. The inverter is the battery that you will have to checked. If it is old enough to get changed do that at first priority and everything should be up and running

Cracked LCD screens are very common.They're just by nature,easy to crack. I would say,if your screen is usable ,and not particulary irritating,then just leave it as it is.But if you want a new screen and you want to know about repairing it, I can help you.

If I am not mistaking the warranty does not cover being left in a hot car. Try calling apple and tell them you just got your Ipod touch 2 days ago and you were downloading songs to it and while doing so it overheated and cracked. Thats considered a mechanical problem. Good Luck!
