I am trying to help my father upgrade his TV without buying a new one. This one still has a very clear picture but does not have the HDMI outputs necessary to connect the newest A/V technology. There are HD Componet RGB connectors and what looks like a propritary "HDTV Control" 15-pin port (that I do not recognize). Does this TV have the capability to upgrade without significant cost or difficulty? I am trying to connect it to a yamaha receiver via HDMI or DVI but so far, no such luck. Because it is an old TV, there are no active websites that promote parts/converters/cables for this model. Any help is appreciated!
All you need is a HDMI to DVI adapter for the video and RCA cords for the seperate audio connection. You can buy them really cheap on eBay or www.CNAweb.com.
There is a converter box , where you can connect everything and convert in to hdmi output , you can buy this boxes on the internet or at the redioshack
