Hoover PE235 Just installed my PE235 again (been sitting in garage for a year), however when I started it first time i hadnt turned the water taps back on... Now the machine doesnt fill up? When i put it on program 4 the machine just makes a humming sound and does not start the cycle. Obviously the taps are both on now. Paul

error E1 means the water inlet tap is turned off .Clean the filter and the spray arms the error should go away

Pour a jug of water in the soap tray and make sure it goes away fairly easy indicating the tray or hose to drum is not blocked, if flows okay try reducing water pressure to machine only .....

The only thing you can do is purchase the correct pipe and replace it. It is not worth trying to seal or tape the pipe, these repairs seldom work for any worthwhile time.

Unplug the washing machine and turn off the water.

Open the small trap door next to the drain hose connection on the back of the washer to gain access to the filter.

Replace clutch (happened to me after buying bike that hadnt run for 4 years)

After sitting for a period of time, some of the solution may have dried in the inner walls of the feed tube from the solution tank. What I would suggest is to empty the solution tank and then fill it with hot tap water, put it back on the Floormate, and hold the solution "feed lever" on until it starts dripping water. The hot water will hopefully disolve the dried solution and allow it to flow again.

Sounds like you have a blockage in the filter or the motor brushes have worn down.

Ensure the water is turned on and the door is fully closed, make sure delay start is not set.....

if DW still won't start, I would begin by checking the door switch.

You have to open up the top to check the one pipe going into the softener compartment. You can even peep when the machine is running the soft run to see if water flows into the compart. If this does not work dismantle the compartment totally to check. Maybe the screens at water entry has clogged over time.......

Contact Hoover, they should be able to supply you with a new dial for not a lot of money. Warranty won't apply as it wasn't their fault. Good luck.
