Release the belts and check if you can turn the chuck by habd, if the chuck won;t turn, two things could be wrong, 1) the quill bearings are bad or 2) the shaft that runs down thru the quill could ve rusted causing a restriction, if that's the case, WD 40 should loosen it.

McGraw-Edison drill press 2620t2 power switch won't change to on. Is there a safety on the switch that will allow it to function?

if it is a round red button, twist it and pull out
because of safety reasons much of machinery now has this type of control switch so that in an emergency the button is pressed and the machine stops and it stays locked off

I have an old Guardian Power floor model drill press and do not know how to change belt positions to change speed. help please.

See the picture below. The small red circle shows the locking screw on the right side of the drill. There is another locking screw on the left side of the drill. Loosen them both a half turn. The larger red oval is the handle to pull the motor closer to the spindle, thereby loosening the belt. Once loosened, it is easy to move the belt. Then use the handle to push the motor back, which tightens the belt. Keep pushing on that handle with your right hand while you tighten the locking screw on the left side of the drill with your left hand. Once you have that tight then tighten the right side locking screw.
Good luck! I hope this helps.

The drill motor runs fine, but the chuck doe not turn. It sounds like the clutch mechanism is trying to engage, but doesn't. Where can I send out for repair? I have been unable to find anyone that does...

Hi, Claude, W/D here.
In the picture (above), the chuck can be adjusted by operating the yellow ring. Work the ring into several positions, and try the drill at each position. On the yellow band will be a picture of a drill bit, just past the highest number on the ring. Align the picture of the bit with the indicator. This should lock the clutch into the drilling position.
If this doesn't fix you up, you may need to disassemble the drill in order to determine where the problem is.

Cental locking fault doors lock and unlock immediately

Make sure when you take key out of the car you put the steering lock on by turning the steering wheel clockwise or anti-clockwise till it locks about a couple of inches normally.
Then make sure all doors are locked and none of the door closed sensors are broken off there visible black boxes with pressure switches on them on each door which are pressed when door is closed and de-pressed when door is opened, Normally the interior light will remain on If one of the sensors are bad.
Then lock doors with alarm and it will work, The steering wheel not being locked is normally reason why alarm won't fully engage, This is for safety so you make sure steering lock is engaged before being able to lock up the car.

Door will not slide automatically; emits loud beeping noise

Something similar to that was happening with our Odyssey...the beeping when you are driving whether it's ongoing or intermittent is the "safety alarm" letting you know the door is not closed. The power lock is not engaging. What I do when I get the beeping while driving is hit the Door Close button. It causes the door to attempt to engage again. To fix it...we first cleaned out the space below the side running board (kids were hiding crayons and things in there), then looked for any obstructions along the top and bottom tracks. I sprayed a lubricant along the tracks (I'd suggest the dry lube kind...I used WD40 the 1st time and had streaks of it dripping down after driving), use a lube that has a long straw to spray in small places...and spray up into the track that runs the length of the middle of the car. Manually open and shut it a few times to get the tracks lubed, then try it out.
If you press the open OR close button by remote or in the car and get nothing...no movement/no noises/no beeping...then it could be the electrical circuit itself, the signal itself may be impeded...or the motor shot. Have you tried any of these suggestions before?
