Green blinking light on wd-62725

Please help caps look good on dm board

  • MTJOHN Oct 25, 2008

Thank you I checked the caps on the power board and they looked good, but there were some bad caps on the format board that were bad. I replaced them and the green blinking light stoped blinking but the status light turned red, so I pushed the power button and got the green blink again. Caps on the format board still look good

Remove covers and DM board

-verify capacitors are as described

- Remove old caps

Install new caps (slightly taller, but a little coaxing got them into the shield.

Button up all plugs, wire routing etc and test.

Mitsubishi green blinking light of death

Hi Jim,

Green blinking light of death on Mitsubishi DLP TV means that the DM failed to booted up. I would advice you to replaced the 7 1000uf electrolytic capacitor on the DM board. Most of the time it fixed the symptoms. Please inquire at tvrepairworld.com if they have an available DM repair kit for V36 chassis (WD-57733 chassis).

Tv wont power up after replacing 6 caps 4 bad 2 looked good but were in series so replaced with larger voltage. mitsubishi wd 62725

That model will usually have 8 caps that require replacement on the Power board and also 4 capacitors on the DM board which will usually cause the Non stop blinking light symptom.

Replaced the bulb and tried to turn tv on and a have a green blinking light that came on nothing else. Please help

Thas a very common problem for that model which happens when the power cord is unplugged. Failed caps on the DM and the Power boards wont re-charge when power is restored and the timer light blinks non stop. The V26 Chassis DLP DM / Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually repair that issue. The kit contains the capacitors and the CD with repair instructions.

Blinking Green light after Capacitor kit replacement WD-62725

I just repaired two Mit WD-62725 sets in the last two weeks.
The first one had bad caps on the power board and the FMT board. The scond one had bad caps on four out of the five boards.
Also, on the FMT board, there was a blown surface-mount fuse.
I advise checking all of the boards for bad caps. If you fine a bad 1000uf cap, replace all of the 1000uf's on the board.
Hop this helps,
Dan

Blinking green light no pic or sound

Hi Stan,

the blinking green lights is usually called The Blinking Light of Death

There is nothing much else you can do.

The problem is some swollen capacitors on the 5v line keep the microprocessor from booting up (the 5v is supplied to the micro).

The repair should not be over $250 to replace those 4 capacitors on the DM board/module.

They had a huge run of these sets with bad caps.

You cant do a error test because the micro won't boot. I'm afraid your options here are limited to calling for service.

be aware you can kill you tv by trying DIY, but click here for your fix.
similar tv, same problem, I'd leave it up to a pro though.

Blinking green timer light

I purchased my WD 62725 in January of 2005 and have had way too many problems with something costing this much.  My green reset button is now blinking and I have read and tried all of the suggested solutions. All of them have failed.  I sure think Mitsubishi should be held more responsible than they seem to be.  Some one suggested a class action lawsuit.  I would sure join one.  Jack P

Blinking green timer light

Check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM PCB.
Check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the FMT PCB.
If any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C).

Wd62825 blinking green light

if you have replaced the caps on the DM and the FMT and power supply. you can unplug the e2p. the set will run without it if it is the problem, however it will take 5 to 10 minutes to boot up so be patient.
if it boots try turning it on. the picture should look terrible because no
light engine data is getting to the dm. chances are it is not the e2p, in the over 300 of these chassis i have repaired maybe 10 had a bad e2p. most likely the chassis needs to be rebuilt. check out www.tv-techs.com
