Settings - ringtones- ringtone settings- ring type - select an option that suites your needs. There should be "ringing, accending, ring once, beep once and silent. You then select RINGING.
The GE 25922 doesn't have voicemail. Please consult the documentation for whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have connected to your phone line.

ensure that under the contact the default ringtone is shown as what you request.
step 2 go to your profile which shows the display you want to choose on your phone remove it on some Nokia no matter what ringtone you choose it will ring whatever is the chosen ringtone for the display profile.

with the phone closed, goto tools, voice commands....click on settings in the lower right.......scroll down to call alert.......change to ring only or caller id+ring....on the env that should solve your problem
I have the same problem. Where are the other 7 ringtones that are suppose to be available. This phone has only 3 choices available, and i think they've put the 3 most annoying ring tones all in this one phone.
