New power supply did not fix the problem
This is a common problem with Sanyo televisions. This is a faulty main board and it gets even worse. Sanyo does not use a standard main board in their models. You will need to look at the main board (this is where your HDMI cables plug in) at the bottom there should be a part number such as N7AJ. Shop Jimmy is probably the best place to find the part; however, you will likely be waiting a few months because this is such a HUGE problem with Sanyo televisions that no-one can keep the parts in stock. This happened to my 46 inch DP46819 model and it took almost 5 months to get the part, which did fix the problem. This all started suddenly, one day the television was fine, the next there was no sound or picture and just a green light on the front of the set that also went out after about 15 minutes. I searched everywhere for the part and found nothing. When researching the problem there are LITERALLY hundreds of thousands of this exact same complaint for these Sanyo televisions. Like I said it took 5 months to get the part from Shop Jimmy (shopjimmy.com) but I finally did get the television fixed. I have since bought a Vizio and given the Sanjunk to my grandkids to play video games on.

My mother's was doing the same thing (purchased 2008). Put up with it about 6 months and took it to a repair shop. Bottom line - the display panel has a flaw in and will cost more to replace than the tv cost. See about it now it yours is still under warranty.

hi,doe sthe screen of your TV lights up?during power on?if not then there might be a problem on the inverter board and the backlight lamp of the monitor .The lamp is a cold cathode bulb it requires a high voltage supply from the inverter board in order to light up.just like any other bulb this lamp has a limited life span more or less 2 years of continues lit.The inverter board is a high voltage board the power input of this board is 24volts DC and the output is 200volts AC.The terminal input of this board or connectors must be check because of high voltage corrosion and loose connections always happen that leads to the mal function of the display or screen failure just like what happen to your TV.
Backlight lamp is installed at the top and bottom of the screen you need to open the back cover of your TV to check up the lamp.(make sure to unplug the TV before proceeding)..check first the test point that I mentioned then post back for your findings then will proceed to further trouble shooting...GOOD LUCK!

It can be the main logic board EPROM is scrambled since the TV was plugged during the thunder storm, and /or the power supply module are damaged.
