SOURCE: how do you time a 1985 200s honda atc motor

Remove round cover from side of head,hook up ohm meter wires to either side of points if older unit,rotate engine and you should loose continuity at TDC.On newer ones with pulser plate I just rotated it until it ran the best.I have not had to time one in a long time so I hope this helps.

take shifter off, mark first, take a small electrical driver, and insert it inside, pop it out, and press the new one in.
