It works, but I get the following error message every time I open the program. "Unexpected error. Could not download the required files for update. The application will NOT be updated. Try again later." When I try to update the software nothing happens (it says my files are up to date). Any ideas?

When I upload my videos I can't play the video when I click on the play button. My daughter can watch the video on her Mac. Is the problem my PC and if so how do I fix it?

Tech Support at least found a solution to upload.
Remove the battery from the Flip, then insert into PC. You may have to manually uninstall the driver association during the previous hardware failures (Use Control Panel, Device Manager, Hardware, USB Devices - then right click the yellow ? icon to uninstall).
If you are lucky, you will now see your videos. Upload to your PC, then insert the battery pack while connected. Unplug the Flip, wait 10 seconds, and try again.
If this solves your problem, charge by connecting to a PC for 6 hours to make sure you have a full battery charge.

have you installed the Flip video software? Should be pre loaded on the camera but sometimes you have to install it manually. "My Computer" --> "Flip Video Camera". There should be a .exe file there that will install the software, then you can manage your videos. If you have already done this then I would check the USB connection and contact Cisco Support.
