How do you change the bulb in a minimaglite

No it is Piezo Electric. No battery in the manual either. The battery operated ones have a button that you have to press to ignite and the battery a single AA hides under the button. Piezo make a big clunk when you turn the knob, but with a battery, it goes click, click, click.

The base is generally removeable, and if necessary, a spare bulb is usually located under the battery spring. It is accessible by pulling spring.

It goes inside the igniter button holder. Unscrew the outer plastic ring of the igniter button and you'll find the holder under it. Usually takes 1 AAA battery. But depending on how old yours is, it may take 1 AA Battery.

The battery has to make contact with the bulb as well as the end cap, so if you take the end cap off and the batteries don't come out that end I recommend pulling the bulb assembly apart and taking them out that end. And the next time you put batteries in coat the outside of them (not the terminals) with electrical grease (like you put on car batteries) to prevent them from sticking in there again. Note: if both ends are removed you can use something like a screw driver to push the batteries straight through and out the other end.

Change the bulb.

Try twisting the head of the flashlight (left/right). Also could be a bad bulb or corroded batteries not making a good connection

mine is a proseries 2400 with the 4 way ignitor. It has a label in the battery compartment which indicates + side up toward the button.
