SOURCE: Motorola Talkabout T5100

Here's a solution finally!! Turn on the radio and press the + button, then while holding it down turn off the radio and then turn it back on after a second, then release the + button. A little icon that looks similar to o))) will no longer be there, which means that the roger feature has been disabled. To re-enable it, turn off the radio, THEN press +, then turn the radio on. Hopefully this helps. It works for other motorola models too, I got this from the manual for the T5500.

SOURCE: T5900 Walkie Talkie Issue

Hello Bo Duke,

If one radio won't walk to the other my guess if that you have the Privacy Code function set up incorrectly.

The privacy code function mutes the radio unless it receives a signal from another radio transmitting the same privacy code. If Privacy Codes are turned on for Radio A but not turned on for Radio B then you will be able to transmit from Radio A to Radio B but not from Radio B to Radio A. If Privacy Codes are turned on for both radios but each unit is set to a different code then neither radio will be able to talk to the other.

Make sure that the radios are both set to the same privacy code or that the privacy code function is turned off on both radios. You can find more information on how this function is set in the radio's Owner's Manual.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Motorola CLS 1450c radios microphone problem.

The problem you are experiencing is not a mic problem, or the problem would also be associated with the two-way radio portion of the radio. Your radio is either in need of repair or you have a bad, low or defective battery. It takes more energy to transmit or use the unit as a phone than to simply receive.

If your radio is under warranty (less than 1 yr old) you can return it to the place of purchase for warranty replacement or service. After warranty repair is also available through Motorola's factory depot. Ask your local dealer.

SOURCE: I can hear what others are saying however i cannot

The "others" have an Interference Eliminator Code ( aka PL or code) applied to their frequency. You would need to program the same "code" into your radio.

Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.mytoolstore.com/motorola/rdx_userguide.pdf

You can with the manual determine how to program and/or read-out the radios.

Best regards.

SOURCE: i cant connect my two

Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T71xx.pdf Programming instructions begin on page 19. Your frequency and code must match identically for the radio to work together.

Best regards.

What is the talk range of a Motorola P14spa03p2aa walkie talkie?

Line-of-sight you can talk as far as the radio can 'see'. In the real world, with obstacles and curvature of the Earth, this will vary according to your location. General rule of thumb, outdoors with few obstacles, you can talk line-of-sight up to 2 miles. Talking in and out of a building might reduce your range to 1/4-1/2 mile. There will be circumstances when you could achieve great range such as talking from a mountaintop into a valley, you could potentially talk 25 miles.

Height and placement of the antenna determines range. Holding the antenna perpendicular to the ground will give you the most range. Tilting the radio can reduce your range by as much as 2/3s.

Best regards.

Where can I find an authorized repair center for Motorola Walkie Talkies near Pensacola, FL 32505?

I work for the authorized motorola dealer for pensacola, but i work in another branch. Typically we do not service the "walkie talkie" line that motorola makes. For those, you should contact motorola directly. Here is their contact link:

I have a motorola xts 2500 800 mghz. Im gettin a circle with a line through it symbol on the dispay on 1 talkgroup only and getting a "key fail" when I push to talk. Any ideas?

The circle with a line through it emblem indicates your radio is scrambling the channel chosen. Your key fail message likely indicates your radio has a programming problem or other problem requiring dealer assistance.

Best regards.

Is kenwood walkie talkie and motorola walkie talkie on the same frequence

If you are talking about FRS radios, the answer would be yes. If you are talking about business radios, it depends on how they were programmed. Business radios have many frequencies available.

Frequency conversion from moto 2-way to FM radio

For commecial Motorola and Icom radios you will need the programming software and cables to change the operating frequencies. And, of course the radios must be able to work on the same bands.

The simple answer to your question is no it can't be done.

If you're talking about the hand-held portable radios for the family radio service. You should be able to look up the operaters manuals on line and they will tell you how to program the radios.
