Paslode im350 my im350 paslode nail gun fires 2 or 3 nails then wont fire.then if i wait 30 secs or so it will fire another 2 or 3 nails then wont fire again

    Paslode IM250A nails jambs. Oiled cleared jamb. Cleared nail feed. It fires but nail will not comeout and jambs.

Stuart - this sounds like an air problem - you should perform the following test. With the air nailer close to the compressor you must monitor the airpressure after the gun fires. it sounds like the air is not gettting through diapram fast enough or there is a blockage in line. Blockage in line is not suspected for the following reason . It sounds like the air hose is holding enough air to fire 2-4 nails and then you must wait for the line to fill up again and then it fires ok. The pressure regulator out to the line controls this and they do fail. try this test and report back to me - I know I can solve this for you as I have extensive background in compressor and the like.

Paslode im350 fires every time,but nails dont come out
Unless you have the wrong nails or a problem with the feeder and/or feeder spring it is probably dirty and the driver is hanging up on the cylinder. These tools need to be cleaned and lubed after using them for some time. If you look on Paslode's website there is a manual that explains how to do it. There are also videos on YouTube that show this. It is somewhat complicated and the tool has to be disassembled quite a bit. If you don't feel comfortable doing this work then you may want to want a servicing dealer that repairs these tools. There is a rubber o-ring on the head and a filter on the top that should be replaced too. Here is a link to the cleaning guide.

Bought hitachi nr90ad nail gun and it isn't firing right..what exact size nails should i get ( as in 35,33,or 30 degree nails)
Use 34 degree, paper collated, clipped head nails. They were always the most common strip nails years ago as Senco, Paslode, and a number of other nailers used them.

Make sure the nails are inserted so that the follower maintains pressure on the strip of nails. Also, your pressure on the whole gun at an angle is probably not as great as on the flat---could lead to misfiring
