You need to gently prise off the front speaker grill. You could use a blunt pen knife to do this. After you remove the grill You will see 4 additional screws at roughly each corner of the front panel. Unscrew them and then you can use the pen knife once more to prise apart the speaker housing. Prise the housing apart from the top because two base pads hold both halves together at the bottom. I hope this helps! :)

I have a pair of JBL Duet speakers and 1 doesn't work unless the volume is maxed out on the other.

mcdevito75 here, Try to increase the volume from your keyboard, Then adjust the volume at the speakers, there should be only 1 volume control on 1 speaker to control them both, also check your connections at both speakers.

Bose COMPANION 2 Speaker case disassembly?

yes..the only solution is to pop the front panel with screwdriver...to do this more efficiently (without breaking the front panel) ...first insert the thin screwdriver in the gap in front lanel on side wall...and rotate the screw driver 90 degree..this will pop that side....repeat it on other sides too...i did it last night only.....
my problem was that when i dropped the speaker....its magnet fell down...and its no longer working...i am trying to find another broken bose speaker to replace mine...from e bay,,but no luck till now :(

Using headphones with Logitech X-230 speakers

I really don't know, because some of the newer gadgets come with fixed volume control due to law suits, ect. Try to see if you can bring you TV menu up and see what the sound setting is.

Speakers not working

If you have another computer or a friend, test them on his/her computer. Try this, as its fixed such a problem for me in the past. Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control Then check the ticked/unticked boxes

How to open the case of the speakers?

since u hav removed the mesh and the 4 screws that hold the case of the speaker .As you said that the speaker has no opening points , most companies manufacture the speaker by sandwiching two parts together. In order to open the case of the speaker , you will have to see for a joint line on the edges . it indicates the attachment between the two parts of the speaker . If you find an opening at the back of the speaker as you have mentioned , try to remove the two joints of the speaker by pulling gently at the opposite ends .
