Restore icons to windows vista home screen

Did you get rid of them? Look in the trash. You can restore them from there. If not you can try a system restore back to when you first noticed the icons missing. If that doesn't work, you could restore your computer back to the factory image.

Do i have a webcam on this computer?

Assuming you are using Windows you can find that out by clicking on your window Icon normally in the bottom left corner of your screen. Right click on the My Computer Icon. Then click on manage. A screen will pop up you'll want to go to devices. A list will pop. On that list you should be able to find it. Look for words like vision, eye or optical. You might have a cam by it's just disabled or the driver myth be missing. Hope this helps!

The volume control is not working.

First verify you see a small sound icon or in the Systray (generally at the bottom right hand corner of your screen). If this icon is missing follow the below section.
Windows XP

  1. Open the "Control panel"
  2. Open the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon.
  3. Verify the "Place volume icon in the taskbar" checkbox is checked. If this option is not available or is grayed out, skip to the next section of this document.
  4. If you were able to check this box, click ok and close out of this window and the Control Panel.
  5. Double-click the sound icon in the Systray and verify that all the sound volumes are mid-way or higher.
