(1) Go to start menu(2) Click on all programs(3) click on Emachine(4) click on Emachine recovery management(5) Click on restore on the bar across the top(6) click on restore to system factory default
Some emachines can be restored by pressing ALT+F10, but not sure on your model. Give it a try if you can't restore it to factory defaults using Emachine recovery management.

You'll have to take the hard drive out and hook it up to another computer. When you boot the other computer you can go to device manager. Go to disk management. It should appear as un-allocated space (no D:, E:, Etc) You should get the physical not logical location (0,1, Etc) Right click and see if it will give you the option to format or partition. You can then erase and reformat and set it up as a new partition. You can then install you disk onto it in that computer (MAKE SURE NOT TO CHOOSE TO INSTALL ON THE WRONG DRIVE) and then just plug it back into your tower. If you don't have access to another computer then try use a program called WINtoFLASH and create a bootable usb stick. You will then be able to install off the usb flash drive. You will need daemon tools (virtual drive) and a iso of the version of windows that you have on the recovery disk. Here are links. Just load the iso using daemon tools light. Make not of the virtual drive's letter and plug in your usb and make note of it's letter. Run WINtoFLASH and use the wizard and bam... when it's done you're ready to install.

SOURCE: Need to do system recovery of Emachines Desktop
that includes reinstalling the os (the core system) so the only way to do it is from a disk. I'm sure they are availible for purchase from emachines.
