Got to see if it's a fuel problem or electrical/ignition problem. Spray a little starting fluid into the carb or air cleaner as close to the carb opening as possible. If the scoot tries to start even a little bit then you have a fuel problem. If nothing happens with the starting fluid start checking for electrical things. Shut off switch, key switch, broken or frayed wires, bad battery connections and on and on. Good luck

Why does my chainsaw only run on choke?

You have either a compression problem or fuel related issue.
Have your dealer check compression on the saw. It should be between 115 lbs and 150 lbs. Also check the fuel, fuel filter, sparkplug and air filter.

The Keeway Flash I have has not been started for a few months and when I tried to start it after charging the battery over night it still would not start. I have cleaned and re gapped the plug and even...

Hi.

Keeway scooters usually do not have kickstand switch. Check if there is one just in case. If there is kickstand switch bypass it.

Check fuel switch, fuel filter and hose.

Try starting with no fuel cap.

Check and replace spark plug.

Check carburetor oil and oil tube.

Check carburetor mixture and idle settings.

The carburetor needle may be clogged in some case the carb must be disassembled to clean part or regulate needle height. Unscrew the discharging fuel screw for the carburetor and check if there is fuel flow. If fuel flows test the ignition wiring , CDI and coils in the magneto.

I do not have the service manual for this scooter.

Here a service manual for a Keeway ARN 150, similar to Flash

Check the service manual tests and diagnostics are the same and wiring diagram is similar.

Regards.

WILL NOT START

Ok...time to take her pulse then!

1. Does it have fuel? Look for water in fuel *(check gascan too!)

2. Does it have spark? You need to remove the plug and inspect it. do you see any oil, fuel or even water on the plug tip? You can plug in the sparkplug and dangle it near the metal part of the engine and confirm that the plug makes spark. If it doesnt get another one just to make sure the plug isnt fouled out.

3. Can the engine breathe? Remove the air filter and see if the filter is oil, water or fuel soaked. Is it rusty? Covered in dust, dirt, fuzz or fur?

You can check the engine once you are sure you have spark by putting a splash of fresh gas in the sparkplug hole before putting the plug back in and attempting to start it....leave the air filter off for now. You dont want a bad filter getting in the way right now. If it starts and runs you can put the air filter back on and try to start it....if it wont start....replace filter too!

Good luck and be careful!

'79 Chevy van has been in storage for five years. How do I get it running again?

Start by cleaning the fuel tank (water from condensation accumulates in it), clean the fuel lines, clean and adjust the carburettor, drain the old oil, remove the sparkplugs, put some fine oil in the cylinders and crank the engine manually, put new oil,oil filter, sparkplugs, distributor cap and air filter, replace the water and start the engine. Check for leaks, run the engine for an hour followed by an oil engine cleaner.

My wife has a 150cc TnGo verona scooter. It sat

You have enough 2 stroke in the fuel? 50:1 ratio oil:fuel or more... it is a cheap engine needs extra lubrication..
-----
Is the spark plug clean? --- Is the HT lead connector to the sparkplug fine or has it come loose? --- Check the air filter - it could be wet or dirty or clogged - replace it if it has gotten wet or is dirty, on such a new bike it should look white as the driven snow... --- spray some carb cleaner down the intake while cranking the engine, and rev it up while spraying the cleaner in there, maybe you have some gunk in the carb messing up the jetting. --- Adjust the Idle screw to increase the idle (but not so high that the bike is tugging to ride off) --- Check through that lot and tell me how you get on.

Added 3 quarts of oil now white smoke is coming from exhaust

you have to drain the excess oil i would suggest a complete oil change and oil filter. TAke off spark plugs put some wd 40 on each sparkplug hole start the car without any sparkplugs on ir. Reolace sparkplugs with new ones and the car should run again. I would also suggest to check for faulty sparkplug wires and bad air filter. While you are at it go ahead and check fuel filters.

Scooter losing power in moving forward when stopped at stoplight. Also, loses power en route. Reached 350 miles on odometer. Went to change engine/gear oil. Took off ''oil pan'' screw. Only ~<50 mL came...

Check your jets in your carbs and also could be bad fuel. Poor some sea foam in it and some new fuel and check to see if the inline filter is plugged and check your air filter as well.
