The Playlist feature only creates a "Playlist on the Go" from the player itself - you cannot transfer playlists to the player from your computer. A real let down, I know.

hi my philips gogear 4gb vibe wont download pictures off my computer. but when my daughter plugs up her new ipod, it downloads them. can you please tell me why this is and how i caqn get pictures on mine? thanks
connect the device to computer.....go to my computer, open the device, find folder with tracks/ files are, make a new folder (name it)dump all the files you want in the folder (this your playlist) turn off and on to update device
These directions only apply to the Philips SA6045/37:
It's not going to be easy, because you will have to do two undesirable things: 1) Set your player up for auto-sync, which will result in the player adding unwanted media files to your player without your consent - and possibly overloading your player; and 2) You will have to roll back to Windows Media Player 10.
If you ask me, it's not worth it, but here's the procedure:
Playlists can only be synchronized to your player via “auto sync”. Autosync will automatically synchronize your Windows Media Player library content and your player content each time you connect your Player to the PC. If you use the “manual” sync option the tracks in the playlist will transfer to your player but the playlist itself will not.
Hook up the Player to the computer, allow a few minutes for the Windows Media player to recognize and detect the connection of the Player.
Click on the Sync tab.
Click on “Sync settings” or “Set up sync”
In the pop-up window, select the playlists that you want to sync
Click “OK”, the sync will start automatically
Note: playlists never show up in the device panel under the sync tab of Windows media Player even if they are on your device. Check on your device whether you can see the playlist.
This GoGear REQUIRES that you use Windows Media Player 10 - you must uninstall your Windows Media Player 11 and rollback to version 10.
Once you have done that, the instructions with pictures are in the manual which can be found at:
