Cannot get dvd to play on tv, no picture, try different channels, etc.,

The TV remote should have a source button on it, you need to press it and find the scart socket or hdmi connection, it should display a list of the connection that are use for your TV. Some times you can use the power on on the DVD, so have your TV on then switch on the DVD and this may change the TV to the input that you have the DVD connected to automatic-lay. If you are using a TV arial for the DVD to connect to the TV then you need to tune the TV to the channel the TV is using I think in most cases it is channel 21 on the TV.

Your going to want to go into the menu of the tv and look for the setting brightness to brighten it up a little.

Look for any button either on the unit or the remote marked with common stuff like A/V, Input, Source, Aux or Au, Line, TV-VID. or try dialing in Channel 0, or 00, or 1, or Channel Down surf below Channel 2. Alternately, get into the menu and look for stuff concerning Auxiliary inputs.

If all else fails, you can run a DVD's audio and video line-signals THROUGH a VCR. Hookup the VCR to the TV's RF (threaded) connector using standard coaxial cable. Hookup the DVD a/v output lines to the Line-ins of the VCR. Tune the TV to Ch. 3, tune the VCR to Line-in or Auxiliary and press the play or tv/vid button on the VCR to force the DVD signal through on channel 3 onto the TV.

I called the custoner service number 1-866-387-1902 & the parental lock code is 1369. I had the same problem and this worked for me. Good luck. This parental code is for all disney tv, dvd combos.

i guess there a built in dvd player on the set and it could play most DVD format.
but if you wish to use another dvd player
hook up the dvd on the tv
video output (DVD) to video input (TV)
audio output to audio input
the find the auxiliary button from either the tv or dvd

I have a lightning mcqueen 13' tv model# C1310ATV, and a little purple car-DVD player model # C8000 for my grandson, I cannot get dvd to play on tv? Should I hook it up(dvd) to back of tv or the front of tv, and if so, is there a switch over button for dvd to normal tv watching. TV is hooked up to Direct tv and plays fine. But can't get dvd to play on tv, I've tryed channels 2, 3, and 4. But no picture. Again is there a switch over button or auxiliary button or ???
