If your lens is set to F/22 or the smallest available on your lens, this is not a user problem. Take it to your local camera repair shop ( usually $100 to $125 repair to phase or sequence switch ).

Nikon D80 Err message

The manual only says when Err starts blinking, press the shutter realise button again. If the error returns, please contact your Nikon service centre.
It is a general malfunction of the camera. There is no such thing as a reset or reboot of the camera.
I think you have tried all the obvious things like switching off the camera, removing the battery an checking if everything is in place and connected. and replace the battery. Did you check the connection points of the battery? Also in the camera. They have to be clean and shiny. don't clean the connection points with a sharp tool. Just a dry cloth or special contact oil. Have you tried a different lens? just to make sure the error is in the body.
Sorry I can't think of more. But I'm afraid you only can contact Nikon.

I get an err message after i take a picture. i notice this happens when the over/under exposure indicator in the viewfinder is blinking before i take the picture. the err message only goes away if i remove...

I've also got a D90- nice camera. I only get the err message when the lens is not seated correctly or the f-stop ring is not set to the max. If you check the settings and assembly correctly and they seem OK, then the contacts may be dirty or faulty. If the indicator is blinking pre-shutter release, that may indicate the same issues. If you have another lense to try, that may be a good indicator of bad contacts or issues in the lense.

I have a Nikon N60. Can't take pictures outside

can you manually change your f-stop to faster shutting. When the shutter stays open longer, it will draw in to much light. If you have an option for only outside pics, then I would try that as well.

Nikon D90 ERR message after taking picture -

Is there a memory card in the camera?

Also try cleaning the contacts on the lens (light rub with a pencil eraser works).

Flashing "Err" message with a code 999. Can't shoot pictures.

Try resetting the camera.

First a soft reset is to just replace the battery. If that doesn't work try a hard reset - on the bottom the other side to the battery flap.

Unable to take picture

I don't know if there is a mirror lock up button on this camera or not. Some have it for slow exposes. Nikon does have a technical phone number or place on their website to contact them. I had a D100 that had the ERR message show up on it, and it cost $400 to repair. But look for the mirror lock button.

Error message on D70 freezing camera operations

Hello,
I got this info from Nikon for D70...
When you see Err on the control panel, LCD monitor or viewfinder of your digital camera it refers to a camera malfunction. Try the following:
  1. Remove all accessories from the camera.
  2. Install a freshly charged battery into the camera.
  3. If your Nikon camera offers resets such as the two-button reset or a hardware reset please follow those instructions provided in the product manual.
If these steps do not resolve the Err message we recommend having a Nikon Authorized Repair Technician evaluate the Nikon camera.
Hope this be useful for you to resolve problem.

Nikon N60 fEE Issue

First of all, you can download a manual from here.

Basically, with certain types of lenses you need to set the aperture ring on the actual lens to its minimum setting (f22 or f32). Once it is set here, the camera can then control the aperture. It's covered on page 16 of the manual.

Hope this helps,

Matt
