Photo transfer I have a Sony Vios running Vista. I have a casio exlim 550 camera with an SD chip. When I put the chip with photos into the SD reader slot I get a message say Photo Gallery cannot read the photos in their format. When I put the SD chip back into the camera and the camera into its charging/transfer base plugged into a USB slot the photos transfer just fine. I need the pics to transfer through the SD slot on the front of the Vios. Anyone have a fix to this? Thanks. Dave

    vze39csr,

Thanks for the help. I suspected something like that but I am unable to find where I change from RAW to JPEG. I suspect making that change is not an option. Great little camera but imcompatable with VISTA. I works great with XP. Oh well... Microsoft strikes again.

    thnks

File:///C:/Program%20Files%20%28x86%29/CASIO/Photo%20Loader/library_1.htm ? Button Few?

This is just the path to the library file, this is where Casio store images automatically.if you want to download photos from sd card while camera is connected keep the camera switched on ,connect cable,go to computer ,the camera should be listed. Then transfer to C:/picture folderYou may need to use an install disc,if you don't then obtain a card reader ,remove card from camera and download across that way.if you need to transfer images off the cameras memory then camera needs to be connected.

Take out the SD card of your camera and put it into a card reader.
Then you can plug it into computer to recover yoru pictures.
For photo recovery software, here I recommend you this one, which I used and worked.

Good moening. How do I remove the chip from my Exilim 7.2 meg camera, it won't just slip out. I wish to put into my computer to transfer photo's?

The Exilim is using SD-cards to store the photos. These are usually unlocked by pushing them in a little. Try using your thumbnail to push it, then remove the pressure. It will spring back and come out a little. Then grab it and pull it out completely.
Also, you can connect the camera directly to the computer via USB, which may be more comfortable for you, if you just want to transfer the photos.

Deleted photos from my sony cybershot DSC W220

I have had success with this camera recovery software ... Download the program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

You need an SD Card, an SD Card reader and a photo frame with an SD card slot. Put the SD card into the SD card reader and plug that into your imac, transfer your photos to the card and then remove the card and put it in the photo frame

My children gave me a digital photo frame for Christmas. I have a Nikon digital camera. I have downloaded and deleted from my camera several pictures I would like to put into my photo frame. Am I able to...

If the "camera chip" you refer to is a removable SD Memory Card you need to put that into a SD Card Slot on your computer or use an USB Card Reader device. The computer will recognize the SD Card as a Disk Drive and you can use Windows Explorer to transfer the picture files to it.

Casio exilim z750 sd card unreadable

If the memory card is not recognized in the PC or it is impossible to access the data on it, the controller on the card is damaged. There is only one way to get the data back, unsolder memory chips and directly access their raw data with a programable chip reader. Software can't help, that is a physical damage! Have a look at: CF xD SD memory card/stick photo recovery

Camera is not being recognuzed

Do not connect the camera to the computer. Buy a small card reader and use it instead to transfer pictures to the computer. It will be several times faster if you have a USB 2.2 port. The camera could only transfer at 1.1 speed, which is several times slower anyways. Then use any free photo manipulation program (e.g. Irfanview) to adjust / store the photos in albums, etc.

Transfering pictures

If you don't have a sd card reader or a usb sd card converter, you could just burn all pictures to a cd and take it into the store or download the pictures online to store and save a trip. both are really easy. Also, if you have a jump drive, save them from your computer to that. If you don't have one, I highly recommend getting one for around 15-20 dollars to do things like this. i also have the z740.
