Well you have some options, you can either live with 2 speakers and change the settings back to default. Im assuming the colors you have are orange black and green. black= the surround sound speakers. orange= center and subwoofer. green=right left front

Now if u want true surround sound then you need to buy a new card that had all the ports for your speakers.

I am currently on Windows 7 Ultimate and I have surround system of Logitech X-530 and the front 2 speakers a playing sond how do I solve this to make the other work as well? Additional information: I also...

Hi...hard time with your logitech Speaker., do you have a 5.1 sound card install inside your pc, like 6 outputs and two input jack on your sound card... a pro sound card to make your logitech X-50 work like a charm if you dont have... I suggest to by a creative soundblaster pro 5.1, but if you do have a surround sound card with 6 input jack install in your pc and fail to work properly...ride down the model of your sound card and check if it compatible with windows 7., just download the patch for it... good luck.

Since Logitec Z-5500 is a 5.1 Speaker System you need to purchase a Sound Card to be able to connect it with your pc. You can get a Sound card starting with a price tag of 20 Pounds.
Hope this will help you solve your problem Best Regards NextDoorNerd

Low sound and buzz from speakers / Hum noise from sub-woofer

Select Start > (right click) My Computer > Manage
In the Management window select > Device Manager
Next to Sound, Video and Game Controllers click the + sign
A yellow triangle will signify a problem so if one is present, right-click that device and select Properties
You can then choose to update the driver
For more details check Dell Xps 420 Manual.

Something isn't right

You have a 2.1 sound card. (Wont work) You need at least a 5.1 sound card. Go to Tiger Direct and they sell lots of good 5.1 sound cards. Excellent custormer service. Best Buy has sound cards also. I love logitec speakers, sounds as good as my 700 watts system. I use ATI sound cards.

Well, you have to : depending on the model of your Sound Card, I presume SBlive? or Audigy models, refer to the manual, but, you have too, depending on the speakers model, place the cables according (ussualy) for the colors. green , black, orange on the respective places. test as you move the cables.
