Turn off the Mp3 off then plug it into the computer. If it doesn't work keep it on and try it that way.

I solved the problem on my win98se OS by
using the drivers from GPX from another mp3 player ( MW6347DT ).
Before, it did not find the pci to usb drivers, etc. Now, all the
proper drivers are being found.
The MW6347DT driver for win98 can be found here:

This is a GPX mp3 1 G player. Model MW3836 And I was able to load a few songs a few days ago when I got it.
If you are using and Ipod, you dont have to add the songs to a disk. you have to use iTunes breNda
If this is the MXP 100 player from e.Digital then you need the music explorer software that came with the player.
The sansa players have 2 usb modes. mtp and msc. when you are saving songs in one mode, you will not be able to browse the files in the other mode. the preloaded tracks are usually in mtp mode. To switch mode, go to Settings in your MP3 player. Then choose USB. Auto Detect is also MTP.
Hi, go to http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 and download the Sansa Firmware Updater. After running the updater, your MP3 player will be reseted and you will be good, with one drawback: the songs previously copied into the player that were not visible in Windows Explorer will be lost. But you will probably never face this issue again.
