Clean light flashing 7 times. Can't start the machine
The "Clean" LED light flashes in sequences of 7 time. The machine won't start. According to the diagnostic brochure behind the lower panel, after getting the machine into the diagnostic mode it will reset itself. I followed the instructions and pressed in sequence the Hi Temp, Air Dry, Hi Temp, Air Dry keys. All the lights went on and stayed on. Nothing else happens. How do I know when the diagnostic cycle is over? Do I need to press anything else? Or the cycle progresses automatically? I left it like that for 30 minutes and nothing changed. I finaly stopped it by pressing the Cancel key. I did that few times and still the clean LED flashes 7 times. I cutoff the power to the machine and reconnected it but still the Clean LED is flashing and the machine can't be started. Any suggestion? Thank you
High temp, heat dry, high temp, heat dry" then closed the door firmly, and the dishwasher High temp, heat dry, high temp, heat dry" then closed the door firmly, and the dishwasher began running again! I am grateful for the advise! I called Kitchenaid and they said to have a repairman come out! Thank You so very Much!

The cleam light blinking means that the unit was not able to reach a proper heated wash cycle. Either your heating element failed orthe actual sump/pump motor system has failed. Check the element in the botton and see if it looks broken anywhere. If you can see a broken spot, you will k now that is the trouble.

Dishwasher is in fault mode hold start/pause button for a few seconds this will reset the unit run your cycle again if dishwasher faults again call you local service man.good luck

the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and
locks the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive).
It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical
current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door
and press these buttons in sequence...
-high temp wash -heated
dry -high
temp wash -heated
dry
All the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal. If the
issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (i.e. element,
thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door
switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door
latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it). Please

For KitchenAid Whirlpool KUDS01FLSS0 -- When the clean light is blinking or flashing 7 times in a row and no other front panel controls will work, do the following:
push SaniRinse-EnergySaverDry- SaniRinse - Energy Saver Dry (Try the Heated Dry button if you don't have a Energy Saver Dry button)
All the lights will then come on as this will put the unit into diagnostic mode. Then, push Cancel after about 10 seconds. You are no longer locked out. Run the dishwasher normally.
