Hello my computer will not connect to my screen anymore. I have a LG lcd monitor and tv it was working yesterday wen i turned it off and 2day wen i turned computer on my screen won't get the signal. Any solutions to a problem it may be or what might be broken

- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.

Try another good monitor, if it solves the problem replace the monitor if not replace the computer.

Just try that once and let me know.

It means your PC video output resolution is too high for the LG monitor to display (your old monitor (CRT) can handle higher resolution than this LG LCD monitor), you need to set the PC video resolution to native resolutionof this monitor which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz. You may have to use the old monitor (CRT) to set the resolution to 1280 x 1024@60Hz, then hook up the LCD monitor.

are you getting a check signal cable message? any on screen instructions?

try the cable, if it works on another monitor, then sorry to say but your monitor is fried

Try pointing a torchlight sticking to the screen and see if you see a dim picture, in that case you have a faulty inverter.

Otherwise can be the controller board or power supply.
