Laptop will not charge, the green light on power lead is on but my laptop wont charge it is a acer aspire 5315 with vista

It might be either the battery on the laptop is faulty or the transformer is faulty, if you can try with another of those and see if you get to guess which one is the faulty one.

Use the OS CD/DVD to boot again and repair the OS. Next get the appropriate drivers compatible for vista from this site and install them on your laptop for it to function properly:

Maybe the screen has some problems, or try clicking to the power button for some minutes, or Try charging the laptop, or try to change the laptop's battery.

it seems u have done every try.So now i recommend u too backup ur necessary files and install a fresh copy of windows via cd.
I recommend u to use xp or windows 7.

buy a new screen or ask someone do it!

remove the battery then try to turn on the laptop. if this works you probably have a bad/shorted battery

to get the sound driver, go to google and visit aspire website am sure u will get it if u cant still get it mail me on [email protected] for further directories

disconnect the battery from the laptop and only hook up the ac adaptor. Turn the laptop on and if it still cuts off after 5 seconds then reseat the memory back into its slots. Also make sure your air vents are not clogged with dirt or dust as lack or air flow can cause the laptop to shut off. If that doesn't do it then take out the hard drive and dvd drive and turn on the laptop. If the laptop still cuts off then it has to be a faulty motherboard at that point which means to much voltage is going thru and the components on the motherboard are not regulating it properly.

You can install windows in any computer and hardware shop neear your area or the best is get it done from (nehru place) The ITHub of india .....

They will charge you Rs 300 approx
