When I am in HD, the picture is bigger than the TV. For example, you only see the "H" in the HD logo and on the left side, you only see half of the words.
It sounds like you have hit the zoom button or your aspect ratio isnt right. the aspect ratio should be set to 16:9 (if there isnt a button for aspect ratio, change it in the menu) and there should be a zoom button on your remote and just keep hitting that and it should return to normal. If neither works, post your tv brand and model and i'll try to find another answer

akai pt4298hd projection screen,this tv is a hd monitor no dtv tuner the aspect ratio is set when a hd device is connected via component [no hdmi input available on tv]. At this time it is connected to a sat hd receiver via component,aspect ratio is set at 16:9 ,the tv is set on wide screen and picture color on dinamyc.Something that I found is that the perfect focus just scans up to 44%. This tv has been in the shop before I owned it. I was wondering if this tv has any kind of adjustment inside.

I am having the same problem. It is an AKAI, model # pt5299hd projection TV. We have it set to 16:9 and checked the zoom. The picture is too big. When we hit "Info" on the DirecTV remote the info box is half off the screen. It's almost like a computer screen, where you can adjust the display to be concave or not. It has a wave to it, like an upside-down U but very slight.
