I have a mpi gf3800 heater monitor that worked fine last year and the other day i went to turn it on and a e 13 code keeps flashing
I have a propane monitor heater just installed 2 months ago and I get an e 13 code and the heater won't stay on???
New Monitor Heater 2400......after 3 to 3 and a half minutes the burn light comes on with no visible flash in the site glass. Stays on about 2 and a half to 3 more minutes then goes off. About 1 minute later E13 flashes with beeping and then thats it. I've bled the line several times so far and have set the time and temp and tried it in a cold house.
I found the Monitor Error Message Codes on their website http://www.monitorproducts.com/pdf/troubleshooting/m.pdf
I also called their tech person at Toll Free:
800-524-1102. He called back and said E13 is usually about cleaning the
screen (fuel filter). He told me to look at pages 22-23 and follow the
instrux about cleaning the fuel strainer. He did say that if that
doesn't work, call a repair person, but I'm going to call back if it
isn't fixed.
I have a Monitor 2400 model. A couple of days ago it quit working and started flashing an E14 (out of fuel) message, then went to an E13 message. I tried backing off the screw on the side to see if maybe it was airlocked. It still didn't fire so I shut off the valve (inside the house), drained the fuel and checked out the filter screen to see if it was clogged. (on the right hand side below the red button) Put it back together, depressed the red button a few times and it fired. It ran good for at least 18hrs then stopped and flashed the E13 error message again. I've had this happen 3 times. I think it has something to do with the cold temperatures we've been experiencing in Alaska. We hadn't had problems until this year when we went to a larger fuel barrel and a different fuel filter setup on the outside tank along with new copper lines into the house. It might be the filter, a kinked copper line, or the ignitor. I thought about it being a fuel problem (#2 diesel instead of '#1), but don't think that's the problem. I'm trying to keep it running til my husband gets home to fix it!!!
We just put in an mpi 2400 and it wont turn on, and it comes up with e 13 help!
So we had an error code 13 on a GF3800 (three years old). the technician found a split in one of the rubber feed tubes (for air, I think) - he cut about 1/2" off the end of the tube, re-mounted it, and solved the problem. the burner had been shutting on and off when we tried to start it and the problem is gone.
Thank you so much. Opening the front I saw 3 hoses that were in terrible shape. trimmed 2 of them and purchased the third from a furnace and parts company that kindly sold me a piece of Goodman furnace tubing - identical size, same use. And that was all that was wrong. It is humming along great now. Thanks again

E13 means the same thing for the gas stove as the fuel oil stove, No ignition. You could really have had no ignition or the computer may not have recognized any flame. Either way the stove quits and gives the E13 message. For fuel oil stoves check the fuel supply and filter. For the gas heaters look into the window with a dark room and try to start the heater. You should see a flasking in the pot. If you don't then the igniter is no good.

Corrected the issue of Monitor 2400 flash E-13: changed fuel filter at the tank, which did not correct this issue. Then, cleaned the filter on the heating unit. I think BOTH FILTERS were to blame.
The tank filter had not be changed in maybe 8 yrs., it was totally GUMMED UP
Using #2 FUEL WILL Gel Up and Monitor won't run, People need to use Kerosene for Freezing Climates unless you have a cellar where your oil will stay warm and not freeze and gel up, hope this helps someone. Here in Maine my barrel is outside, so gotta use Kerosene.

When your monitor flashes E13 it is critical you go outside and check that the vent is not covered with snow or something else. That will fix the problem instantly if that is the case.
You have a problem with the amount of fuel that is reaching the unit or a blockage in the fuel line.
I have a mpi gf3800 heater monitor that worked fine last year and the other day i went to turn it on and a e 13 code keeps flashing
Guys! I have a GF1800 Natural Gas Monitor, simple fix for that code. Remove front cover of you machine, right in the front id a firing pot with a rod in it. Pull the rod, clean it with fine sand paper and reinstall, Problem solved! What happens you get a buid up on that rod. I owe 5 units and all needed to be cleaned once a year.
I had the same problem with my monitor 2400 last year it was a fuel delivery problem, there are many things that can contrubute to the e13 code , dirty fuel filter, oil line has been bent so the fuel will not flow into the heater, exhaust or intake has been obstructed preventing combustion, or the fuel lifter pump( a add on to the 2400 model) has been unplugged.
