I have the BA735 connected to a Creative SB Audigy sound card. Cable has mini-jack at computer end and RCA like phone plug at speaker end. No sound with BA digital speakers, but sound card works fine with analog speakers. How can you diagnose if problem is with sound card or with speakers not converting output from the sound card?
This should be pretty easy to diagnose. both speakers have mini jacks right? if so, and you plug one pair of speakers in on say, port "A" and you get sound then if you plug your other speakers in on port "A" and you don't get any sound, the problem is with your speakers.
I had a similar problem with a used set of BA735 speakers hooked to my Mac. I plugged a stereo 1/8" cable into the analog port on the back of the subwoofer. Presto! My speakers worked.
The solution is that you cannot use those speakers on a system that does not support digital only.. because the speakers are strictly digital which cuts down the possibilities immensly.

The BA735 only accepts a digital in signal and would not work on an analog output on the sound card so it is not possible to substitute the digital BA735 and another set of analog speaker to isolate the problem. The only real solution seems to be to find someone I know that might have a computer with a sound card that has a digital signal output and see if my speakers work. I can think of no stand alone solution to test the BA735 (digital) speakers.
Got rid of speakers and associated comuter long ago at the time of the issue.
