Thermador built-in model # RDDS30V (APPROX. 10 YEARS OLD):
We have several problems with our Thermador as listed below. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
1. The front simmer burner does not work.
2. When the oven is on and we turn a simmer burner on the oven shuts off and the clock blinks (as if there were a power outage).
3. After the oven has been on and the unit is off the range ignitors make noise as if they are trying to light the burners.
4. The electronic read-out lights are dim.

You should be able to get at it by removing the back inner panel. The website at the link below has good schematics and shows the assembly of most appliances.
Thermador doesn't make one, but we found the GE JEB1860SM1SS from Home Depot fit perfectly. For only $259. The repair to fix our Thermador was $618. It was only 5 years old. I couldn't believe it already went out. I won't be buying anymore Thermador appliances.
F2 error code means that the oven temperature is too hot. You will have to replace relay board if faulty. Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD). If failure repeats, replace ERC (electronic range control or clock). For replacement part you may contact Sears at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.
Make sure there is proper electrical power going to range. Then check your kitcen circuit breakers or fuse box in your house, then reset the oven controls.

I am quoting above because I really need help. "When I push any of the function buttons on the oven console
(Timer, Bake, Broil, Clock) the display shows 0FF in red next to the
clock. The oven will not turn on and the timer will not work. I can not
find any troubleshooting information on this problem. The oven is a model RDDS30V. Any help would be greatly appreciated!"
thanks for the info - it confirms what I suspected.
Is there a spark module for each burner?
Are these repairs something I can do (having a reasonable level of mechanical ability and typical tools)? does he unit use all solderless connectors?
Are repair manuals or diagrams available for this unit?
THANKS!
