Cause is water in the bottom tray which operates an anti-flood switch and all machine will do is drain.
disconnect from mains
remove bottom panel and mop out water and it will work. if fault re-occurs, then you have a leak which you will have to identify

Is the water pump motor running at the start of the program? you can hear it making a chugging noise if it is. If it's not running, the pump is probably jammed - this happened to mine a few weeks ago - there was a tiny piece of broken glass in it. There's a removable plastic cover inside the machine above the pump - take this off carefully, keeping the screws in the correct order - and you can see the pump impeller below. Remove any blockage, and reassemble. Try that!

Bosch SHU33A-No Water coming out arms Top/Bottom.

this is suposed to ocurr for the first 3 minutes of every cycle , this step was added to dishwashers of late because everyone seems to wrinse the dishes off first ,adding a lot of driping water to bottom , so it's just pumping it out thats why it's so important to use the detgerent dispensers and not just dump it into bottom

Bosch SHU33a won't drain

Try pouring in enough water to cover the screen in the bottom of the dishwasher, maybe a 2 quarts or so, then run the drain cycle. This should prime the pump and at least tell you wether the drain pump is working or not. Just a trick i've heard and worked for me, not my area of expertise however.

Bosch SHU33A won't drain

I believe you, but did you check the nipple on the drain where the hose connects?
My sink drained OK, and when I took the dishwasher hose loose from the sinkdrain it drained great into a bucket.
When I stuck a screwdriver down where the drainhose connects to the sinkdrain, I felt all kinds of resistance. Its now cleaned out and the dishwasher drains again.
Hope this is your problem otherwise you may need a new pump.

Bosch dishwasher model #shu33A

your dirty water backed up into the washer (which it shouldn't do) and probably clogged something in there,..i would recommend getting it flushed out somehow, not sure how,.....next time, your washer drain hose should go up under the sink as high as possible and then back down to drain,....this settup makes it hard for drain water to go back into washer,....it's instructed in any dishwasher manual

Bosch classixx slimline dishwasher not running through cycle

fault is that there is a leak. the tray at base of dishwasher is full of water which operates a float and turns on drain pump. tilt over 45deg and water will run out and then it will work or remove bottom front panel and mop out (better). then find leak
