I have a full tank but my pilot goes out. It may burn for a while but then it sounds like the after-burners kick on and it blows itself out. It is a Glo-warm unit and I don't see any type of pilot adjustment

Glo Warm propane heater. What size of cord goes on it please?

Nothing I read shows that it has a mains cord. It is a very basic wall heater, no lights, no electric ignition, and it has a pilot light and thermocouple.

Charmglow propane patio heater class iiia2 25000 to 40000 btu;s pilot won't light

Hello,
Ok, let's get the easy to check things out of the way first.

1) Is the tank empty? Take it out and weigh it on a bathroom scale. Most empty tanks weigh approx 18 lbs. The TW (tare weight) of your cylinder is stamped on the collar. If it weighs within a few lbs of your tare weight, then you simply need to refill it. Propane weighs 4.25 lbs/gal, so it would weigh approx 22 lbs with 1 gal of gas left.

2) Did you turn the tank valve on too fast? Close the tank valve, disconnect it and reconnect it. Then very slowly turn the tank valve back on. Try lighting the pilot and see if that helped. If not, try #3.

3) Your pilot orifice is dirty or has a spider web. Grab a can of compressed air (like you use to clean computer keyboards) and blow out the dust or web from the pilot assembly, which is where you light the pilot flame. Try lighting it and see if that solves it.

One of these 3 tricks should fix it. Douglas

I have a small dyna glo that takes a propane cyclinder. i bought the hose to hook up to a 20 pound propane tank. every time the tank gets below a half tank the pilot light blows out and heater cuts off i...

There may be dust building up in the ODS safety pilot assembly. The simplest way toresolve this is to flish the pilot with rust buster. Why rustbuster? It has a telescoping tube that makes it easy to direct the squirt into the pilot. Let it dry then retry. You will be amazed.

Pilotlight will not light, getting spark, but no propane.

make sure you have the gas valve knob on turned to pilot while pressing that down while pushing the spark it should light or it is tripped on a safety like rollout switch or oxygen depletion sensor if equipped which all ventless heaters are

When its cold outside my glo-warm propane heater will not stay burning, both the flame and pilot light go out.

Pressure in your tank drops with cold; you may need to tent it and provide a moderate heat source to keep up the pressure. Just like tire pressure- drops when cold. Thanks, please leave feedback or contact me again for more info if you need it.

My glo-warm propane heater keeps shutting off automatically-pilot and all.

my heater says if the pilot light keeps going off automatically it is a safety function that means it does not have enough fresh air to operate

Glo-Warm Wall Gas Wall-heater parts...

We had a problem keeping the pilot light to stay on, and this site recommended that it could possibly be the thermocoupler that was causing our problems also. We ordered the thermocouple, put it on,hooked it back up and it worked great! Thank you so much.
ordered thermocouple from www.masterparts.net
