I have a Mitsubishi VS-5041 projection tv. Everytime I turn the tv on, there is a click sound, but the light next to the power button does not illuminate. I tried plugging the power cord in various outlets, tried different inputs, tried adjusting the volume but there is still no picture or sound. Please help!!!
Your problem is one and or 2 differant problems. The power regulator could have went bad because of the convergence IC have shorted. Seen this a thousand(easy that!)Times. All parts in this set are soldered in and are not user serviceable. look in your owners manual or call 800-332-2119 to get an authorized servicer to come and look at your problem . I wish i could tell you what to replace but theres the Extreme Hi voltage inside these sets even when they are not plugged in .. Good Luck

we have mitsubishi model vs-5041 and it's about yrs. old and my mom was watching a dvd the other night and right in the middle of it , it just went blank and now you can hear it click when you turn it on but there's no picture or sound and you cant get anything to come on the screen to be able to even tell if you are on the right input etc.
