I can t find dissc for the lexmark z 640 and i can t instal it

Lexmark does not distribute replacement install disk for all models, but many models are available.

Contact Lexmark here, to see if the disk for your printer is available.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

This one is easy...

Turn printer off
Before powering on, hold down the button with a check mark on it and the directional button to the right of it..
Power printer on, still holding down said buttons...
wait 15-20 seconds and release... when the printer finishes booting up it will be in config mode
(if you get the error 80 scheduled maintenance, hit the go button)
hit the down button once... you will see then reset maint counter. Hit the menu button ... you will see something to the effectof reset with a check mark next to it..

Hit the menu button again and you will see it say reset. Then hit the back button till you get back to the main menu and use your up/down arrows until you find exit config menu. Hit menu and it will reboot itself right back to the regular screen.
