Tv was fine then suddenly the rest of the picture went dark and only horizontal line appeared.It changes channel and raise/lowers volume from both remote and on the console.The horizontal line appears to have been squeezed so small that it became just tiny horizontal line in the middle of the screen.Sound is normal.What part inside do i need to replace?
You have whats called a verticle swep falure. Its probably just the verticle output IC but if you dont know much about soldering or circuit troubleshooting ,you should leave this to the pros. Theres way to much Hi voltage inside these sets to twiddle around inside them. Also there are no consumer serviceable parts inside these sets as well, as they are all solid state, and my advice is spend a few bucks and get a pro to do this job for ya, as it can, and will, kill ya if your not careful.. Is it worth saving a few bucks??? Naawww Call a pro.. Good Luck
