The door was hanging because the plastic door ring broke at the hinges. we bought the replacement plastic 2 pieces that broke and connect to the door hinges. my wife took it apart and the door latch that you pull to open the door came apart and we cant figure out how it connects into the hook that goes into the door latch to get it all together and working again. the hook has a spring for tension and a pin goes through it but the plastic paddle that you pull on has to connect to that somehow, but that is what I can't figure out. thanks for your time if a solution for me is found
Try using some J.B. Weld on it instead of glue. It will essential form a weld and should hold up better. You might want to give that a try. Good luck and best wishes.

Hello there, you will need a new hinge and probably the inside round piece of the door. Can you upload a photo? Please indicate the
E-Nr of the machine. You can find it on the label around the door and/or at the back of machine.
Thee is a plastic cam at the bottom hinge of the door. Mine cracked and I bought a new one online for like $30 (for a piece of plastic). Got a strong friend to lift the door off the hinges while I replaced it. make sure you get the right one for left or right doors. 7014663 Sub Zero Refrigerator Bottom Cabinet Hinge Cam LH (7014663) (7014663) - Genuine Refrigerator Parts
I have a related question. My lower spring broke and I have the replacement spring. How do I put it into both plastic fittings at the same time. One arm on the spring goes on mullion while the other arm goes into a fitting on the door. Please help!
There is a self closer stop mechanism under the door between the door and the hinge, The door must be removed by removing the top hinge and lifting off the lower hinge flip the door and you will see a plastic piece which is probably broken there is also a piece on the hinge . Both should be replaced
there is a plastic part that attaches to the lower hinge that helps keep the door closed. it is like a rocker that when the door is open the door rides up on the plastic rocker then as you close the door the door rides down on the hinge rocker and helps to force it closed. mine stopped closing on it's own then all of a sudden the black plastic piece broke and fell to the floor. I am ordering a new piece if I can find the part number.
the hinge is not plastic, only the insert sleeve that goes into the hole atop the door is plastic. If the actual hinge (metal arm) is broke, then you need to order a new part (not difficult if frig is 20 years or less). If you cannot find the part, go to a metal shop and show them the broken part, they usually can repair it or remake a new piece.
If the hole in the door went bad (that is: if the hole tore open and cannot hold the hinge pin) you need to have a metal repair brace added to the door. This will involve the metal shop or a good mechanic that can come to you and do the neccessary repair at the house; otherwise you need to bring the door to the metal shop. macgivor
My husband just did the same thing today! First, remove all screws except the 4 that require an Allen wrench. There are 3 layers to the door. Separate the layers and remove the hinge. Rotate the middle plastic layer and reattach the hinge to the opposite side. Reassemble. Total time: 15-20 mins. Total sweat and swearing: 0
go look at the passengers side. take note of the door seam and fender seam width. its about the width of a piece of cardboad. additionally look at the door hinges on the passenger side. it may or may not have washer shims. if they do/dont then just match up with passenger side. it takes 2 people to hang the door. screw in door hinges "finger tight" just to take off the weight of someone holding the door. play with the hinges until you can open/close door without binding or crimping fender at the seam. do not over tighten hinge bolts until the door opens/closes unobstructed. bottomline 2 people needed. slow and tedious job. you may have to add or take shims(washers) out for good fit. note that you may have to add shims to the inner door hinges or to the fender hinges where they meet. hope this is clear instructions.
