Solve black screen after windows bootup

After logging on there is no desktop, task bar, system tray or side bar. Instead you are left with a totally black screen and a single My Computer Explorer window. Even this window might be minimized making it hard to see.
1. Restart the Computer and login with the login and password that you use.

2. If the black screen appears and there is no icon visible on screen, Press the “ALT + CTRL + DEL” keys on the keyboard together.

3. A windows will appear with option to launch Task Manager, Simply Launch Task Manager.

4. On Task Manager, go to Application Tab and Click on New Task

5. Now type "explorer.exe" in the task window and click run.

My internet explorer is closed i want to re open

Hi,

What do you mean exactly by closed? You don't have say the exact information or massage which appears while you try to operate your internet explorer. It may be disabled by the work offline option. Go to the File tab on the above of the Internet explorer window and disable the work offline mode by clicking on Work Offline if it is ticked out. If it doesn't help you then download newer version of Internet explorer from web site and install it, or upgrade your Internet explorer.

When I open Internet explorer or any web sites on IE they appear

TIPS:
The default behavior for IE is to open at the same size it was at the last time it was closed.
While the default does apply in many cases it's not always consistent.

Try the following workaround.
Open a single IE window to the smaller size.
Drag the corners of the window until it completely fills the screen.
Do not use the maximize button to enlarge the window.
Hold down the Ctrl key, keep it depressed,
and using the mouse click File and then Exit on the menu bar.
Do not use the "X" in the upper right corner to close the window.
Internet Explorer should now open in a full window.
If it still opens to a smaller size repeat the above instructions, substituting the "Shift" key for the "Ctrl" key.

Windows explorer has stopped working

It is possible that the application you installed in your computer is not compatible with Windows Vista. You can try to repair it using the recovery console.

1. Restart your computer.

2. As soon you have the HP logo came up. keep on tapping F8 on and off to go to the advance boot option.

3. Select the option ' Repair my Computer" . Follow the instruction.

4. Select startup repair. It will ask you to click finish when the repair is done. The system will restart itself.

Keep me posted.

Thanks.

WINDOWS EXPLORER HAS STOP WORKING

Hey there

The problem could be because earlier version of nero You can solve your problem from doing the following:
If you are using Nero, you can try upgrading to the latest version (7.7.5.1+)
If you’ve upgraded Nero and still have the problem, you can try renaming the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax to NeVideo.ax.bak. You may also need to rename NeVideoHD.ax to NeVideoHD.bak
This will break Nero Showtime, however.

There's another possible solution below of turning off DEP for dllhost, which might not work your windows explorer

Select the "Data Execution Protection" tab, and then click “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select”

Click on the Add button, and then browse to C:\Windows\System32\dllhost.exe

Click Open, and then OK.

Explorer problem

Hi

I suggest to restore the settings of your internet explorer to defaults. There could be bugs during your windows update.

1. Open internet explorer, go to tool --> Internet Options ---> Advanced tab ---> Reset.

Reset all the settings then restart your computer. In case you cannot open internet explorer because it will just give you a white blank page. try the following steps below.

1.1a Click Start -- type msconfig on start search box (for vista only). Click Run (for xp only). a pop up box window will show up (System utility configuration). Look for the tab Services.

Under services tab, put a check on the box that says "Hide all microsoft services" at the very bottom screen. Click apply then close. Restart the computer.

After restarting the computer follow step 1.

Keep me posted

System says that program not responding

From what you put on this, it seems that you have a KERNAL32 error.
Fault Module Name: kernel32.dll

the application being Windows Media Player
Application Name: wmplayer.exe

I've researched this thru microsoft and the best thing I can find

Go to Start - > Type Run in the Search Box - > type regsvr32wmp.dll

What operating system are you using? Because the KERNEL32.DLL file is a 32-bit dynamic link library file that is found in Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millenium Edition (ME).

Error problem

Hi,

The issue you have posted regarding that you are unable to open and use the I internet explorer showing error message “ iexplorer.exe ” can not open and needs to close could be due to number of reasons, The steps mentioned below generally fixes these kind of issues I would appreciate if you could try them to get iexplorer.exe issue fixed.

FIX I.

  1. Click On Start, point to Internet Explorer and then right click on the Internet option and left click on properties.
  2. Click on the Delete tab under the (temporary internet files)
  3. Click on delete temp internet files after selecting delete all.
Fix II.
  1. Click on start, point to control panel and click on it.
  2. On the Control Panel window, locate the Add/Remove software icon and click on it
  3. Locate the option Add/Remove Windows Components on the left side of the window and click on it.
  4. Locate the Internet Explorer option form the list and remove the Check Mark in the box by clicking on it, then click NEXT at the bottom. (This will Uninstall the Internet Explorer)
  5. Click on finish.
After you perform the above mentioned steps, restart the computer.
After the computer is restarted and when it gets back to the desktop screen perform the following steps.

  1. Click on start, point to control panel and click on it.
  2. On the Control Panel window, locate the Add/Remove software icon and click on it
  3. Locate the option Add/Remove Windows Components on the left side of the window and click on it.

Restart the computer and check if you are able to open the Internet Explorer works.

Fix III
This issue can also occur if you have installed any third-party internet tool bar for example, Google, Yahoo, or Rediff etc so you can uninstall the tool bar form the Add/Remove programs, however you will not have to go into the Add/Remove windows components option, the tool bar software will be displayed on the screen which comes up once you click on the Add/Remove icon in the control panel. All you need to do is to select the toolbar and click on remove in order to uninstall it.
Fix IV
  1. Click Start and select Run.
    The Run window appears.
  2. In the Run window, type msconfig and click OK.
The system configuration utility Window appears.
  3. Click on the option Startup at the top right hand corner.
  4. Click on the option disable all at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click on apply.
  6. The system will request to restart, click on restart and let the system restart by itself.
  7. Once the system restarts it will prompt you a screen after it logs in, stating that the startup has been modified and it asks you weather to show that screen again, so select do not sow the screen when logged in next time and close the window.
Should you require any further assistance regarding this issue or any other computer related issue in future please feel free to contact get back to us, we will be more than glad to assist you.
