Question about Polycom VSX 7000 Video Conference
It seems as though the system goes into some sort of power save mode or energy save mode. The picture becomes darker or dimmer when there is no movement for a period of time. For example, during meetings with our east coast office, at a certain point in the meeting thier video picture, which we are looking at, gets darker or dimmer. It seems to happen when no one gets up and moves for a while.
There could be an automatic timeout when no movement is detected. The solution is to have everyone keep moving, even breaking into a lively dance from time to time.

SOURCE: Polycom VSX 8000-- cant hear
If you cant hear anything then this is a firewall issue not the VSX8000. Call us for port openings. 415.637.9989 . If the unit works on a LAN but not outside your firewall this is what it is. If it does not work on a LAN then it is the VSX8000..
