Playing DVD-RW discs on the Matsui MATDVD3307 DVD Player.

Most home DVD Drives do not support the DVD+RW format. Try burning to a regular DVD-R disk and that should work.

Does it do with original DVD or copied DVD ?.
if the original one works fine but the others not, your DVD may not capable of playing copy -R/RW discs..even though your DVD specs says: Plays DVD-Video, video-mode DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW, CD-R/CD-RW, MP3 CD, Kodak Picture CD, and JPEG image CDs, sometimes this happens due to bad recording of DVD .Try to use better recorded DVD or if possible use the original ones..

Like you said the unit is capable of playing DVD RW and DVD-RW. However, some discs may not be compatible due to format of the files on the discs, software used and laser pickup. Some technologies used to record on discs can prevent optimal playback of the files by changing them which affects the ability of the player to read the file.<br /><br />If you are burning the discs, I would suggest you different software, make sure the video/audio files are being converted to a DVD format that can be played on stand alone players. <!-- from fixya rte -->

this brand and model should be able to play the discs you mentioned witih no problems, unless it is defective, or a error is being made when you are recording the discs. If you are recording and they ar enot playing, most likely you are not "finalizing" the discs durring the burn processs. All discs MUST BE finalized to be played on any dvd player.

Some dvd players cannot play certain types of discs. You could check to see if the manufacturer of the dvd player has a firmware update to fix this problem. Older dvd players have trouble playing some of these discs. Most newer dvd players do not have issues and have upgradable firmware to adjust for different formats. Does your burner also do DVD+R discs? Maybe try using those and see if it plays on your dvd player.

Install k-lite codec pack ,you are missing codec. Some recommend vlc player.

Can it play other REGULAR discs?
if not - try cleaning the DVD head (there are special discs which you can buy).

How to activate the multi-region functionality
1. Make sure the disc tray is open and remove any discs from the player.
2. Key in ‘7 7 7 7’ using the remote control.
3. Select region 0 for a region-free setting.

those kinda players wont play DVD rom disks and certain ones that are made up. DVD-RAM or ROM wont work. Try blowing inside the player for any dust. if it still doesnt work its the maufacters problem. The player will play CD-G audio only, not graphics The ability to play back DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-Jpeg discs may depend on recording conditions.
