Slow Filling only in rinse cycle

I have a Smart Drive 603 that fills OK in the wash cycle but fills only very slowly (30 minutes +) in the rinse cycle. I have checked that there is no water syphoning out during this period. Any ideas??

Tony, the fact that you are not receiving any error codes tends to leave me to believe that your cold fill hose filter may be restricted. Going by your model number you can enter this mode by having the power on at the source and off at the console. Press and hold the lifecyle button and then push power button. You should hear 2 beeps and then the display go blank. You can test the hot and cold valves by pressing how dirty up (hot) and how dirty down (cold). If you find the cold valve slow as in your rinse check for restrictions. If it were the thermistor, I would think you would receive an error code..Good luck.

I don't know who the heck rates these posts but this information I posted came right from the tech sheet for the model that was posted. If it's the right model, it's the right information...anyone who rates some-one trying to help a person poor, is pretty poor himself...Catriver.

Kenmore 70 series washer

If you can see a constant water pressure from the hot and cold, chances are the water solenoid valves are ok.

I would look towards resetting to factory and checking the main control unit.

Smart drive 085

It won't spin until all the water is drained out. The drain pump may be blocked or faulty. Fix the drain pump fault first then deal with the filling issue. They will not be related.

Smart drive 085

the buzzing noise is the pump trying to work, but it cannot due to a blockage. unplug the washer and you can lean the washer backwards and remove the pump to unblock. the fill error is probably unrelated, and is an inlet valve issue.

The smart drive 708 on any wash cycles has poor water flow..ie the water seems to be filling up very slowly and the normal wash cycle takes 2hrs

Hi Challe340, Sounds like your machines Inlet solinoid valve that supplys water to your machine may have a clogged internal diaphagm, its quite normal for it to clogg up due to high sediment build up in the water mains over the years and seeing that the machine is a smart drive 708 it probly hasnt had inlet replacement in it entire life. As for the normal wash cycle taking so long could be due to restriction in water flow from the faulty inlet valve slowing down the water fill segments in its rinsing cycle stage, hope this help.

Water comes out wash cycle good but slow at rinse cycle

do you mean filling the washer up or draining it out?i think you mean filling it up,on washers just the cold water is used to fill the washer on the rinse cycle, you can shut the water down and remove the cold water line and see if you can clean out the screen in the washer water valve, also while you have the hose off, stick it in the washer and open the valve to see how the pressure is,if it's coming out strong then the problem is in the washer and you should change the washer water valve,if it's coming out slowly then you have a problwm with the house water valve and need to change that out.let me know what you find

My Kenmore washing machine trickles water out very slowly during the rinse cycle only

Hi, Remove the inlet hoses and clean out the screens inside the inlet valve. Most of the time it is the cold water that gets plugged up. Because you state the rinse cycle is filling slow, I believe the cold is your problem.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.
