You must never remove the batteries without leaving the power turned on. The register will lose all programming if you do this. Error 4 normally means all program lost, ready for new program. The printing may have stopped due to this. If it still has batteries, you might be able to recover the memory by following the instructions under 'clearing a machine lockup' near the end of your manual. I have an 2002 Honda S2000, the turn signal will not work with the turn lever. when the emergency flashers are pushed all the bulbs work but the emergency flasher button will not stay depressed. All fuses are good along with the flasher relay.
