BIOS for Inspiron 1200

I locked myself out of my computer.
Does anybody know the BIOS code
for Dell Inspiron 1200?
(Right when i turn on my computer,
it asks for a password, please help.)

If you're the original owner just call DELL and they will give you master password

Computer says it needs a password and that the bios setup is not installed?

Computer is BIOS locked - you will need to reset BIOS via the hardware pins. See links below for how to do this:

My computer is locked in the BIOS Setting

I assume you have already tried the Dell site & searched (using eg google) for 'Inspiron 8600 BIOS reset' so I'll not bother repeating your efforts.

Since you posted here, I can only assume you have been unable to find any information about special power-on key combinations or any small holes underneath (where a paperclip can be used to reset the BIOS) ... in which case your only option is to dismantle the laptop, locate the BIOS battery and remove it for 30 seconds or so.

To find out how to dismantle the laptop, search (google) for 'Inspiron 8600 BIOS Battery replacement' ....

Sounds Like a Bad Harddrive. First try to Format it out or even Better, Delete the Partition if you can. Then Go With the Fresh Install. Hope This Helps!...
